The Fascists of America - Liberals

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo believes that pro-life activists along with anti-gay activists, and supporters of the Second Amendment, are not welcome in his state.

During a radio interview on Friday, Cuomo pointed out that Republicans were in the midst of a schism, where conservatives worked against moderate Republicans.

"Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves," he said. "Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are."

State Republicans blasted his comments, the New York Post reported, even as the governor walked them back on Sunday in an open letter to the newspaper.

So, if you disagree with liberal dogma, there is no place for you in the state of New York - hell, there is no place for you in America!

I think most rational people would understand he is talking about the party and their political viability, not individuals. In which case, is he wrong?

Pro life folks, catholics and their ilk are not wanted in NY. Interesting place. Need footnotes on the statue of liberty with the governors list of those who should stay on the boat.

Democrats love to promote this idea of division in the Republican party, and there is certainly debate on issues, but it's not like there are Republicans who aren't going to show up on election day. Everyone can happily agree that they need to stop Obama and the Democrat party from turning this into a third world country.

So you're advocating the ban of people based on the "viability" of their political beliefs?

Fascinating...when will you institute reeducation camps?

Mikey, these people are sick and you already knew that. No point ever trying to figure out the mind of a liberal, it's completely pointless to try. They love "openness" and "tolerance" for anyone willing to share their beliefs

Cuomo is only saying what most liberals are thinking.

Not even close to coherent response. You can't possibly think that is what was meant by that post.

Has anyone found a transcript or recording of the original interview?

Seems to me like he is talking about the politicians in the Republican party, not the general public.

At the end he seems to say,"...if they are moderate Republicans, like in the Senate right now..." before it cuts off.

I'm not sure if I've ever heard him speak. He needs to loosen up a bit. He stands there almost motionless like a statue. Quite odd.

Well, let's face what he really means is the real Republicans are in conflict with the liberal-progressive wing of the party. The D or R label is pretty much meaningless. That's also our Establishment. Since polls continue to show about 80% of the people unhappy with the direction of this country, even under Bush, it's a safe bet they don't like the liberal-progressive agenda of govt doing more and more.

Based on the massive call-ins about the border still being insecure as it relates to illegal immigration and on a Syrian military intervention the writing on the wall says the progressive movement is not popular.

The progs are just trying to control the narrative to spin what's really happening.

Nuff said!

There were Republicans that did not show up on election day and stayed home in protest of Mitt Romney being another choice by the progs who run the R party.

That's probably true, although I doubt that it was in sufficient numbers to have changed the result. It's a rather odd way of looking at it to begin with.
