McCullough isn't enough. He's alright, but he can't go it alone. Lusk doesn't seem too interested in finding another 5, which may be his downfall. I also wonder who is going to take a leadership role after Pickens leaves.

Football rumor: The Bears will play Arkansas State in Jonesboro in '15.

I think I've already said that Tyler was a student of mine in high school. I don't know if he has the physical tools or not (though he was starting to beef up pretty good in high school by his senior year), but his worth ethic and intelligence shouldn't be questioned if his past is any indication. Just a really great kid.

One of my favorite stories about him:

It was senior skip day a couple of days after we'd just lost in the state tournament. They'd just had an extremely long season with a demoralizing loss in what should/could have been a state championship team. I go down to the gym at the end of the day, and he and Manny Watkins are out on the court with the underclassmen, still practicing and putting in work... on SENIOR SKIP DAY.

McCullough was a true freshman who was put in a very tough spot. He was supposed to get help from Christian Kirk and Bruce Marshall - didn't happen. I thought he played well considering that - his 52.4 fg% is impressive considering how he was the default option down low, and he averaged a block a game, showing he has defensive chops.

For his sake, I hope that Manny works his way into the Razorback rotation, but I would have loved to have seen him and Tyler both end up at the same school. They were best friends and really set the tone for our team the entire time they were at the high school. They played really well together in game, but their off court leadership and work ethic was equally important. That team was truly a "band of brothers," which they could have established somewhere else if they'd gone there together.
