Ravi's a great speaker and very knowledgeable in the bible and religions around the world particularly in Asia, I try to listen to his podcasts weekly.

The views on tolerance is spot on I liken it to the CoExist movement where you are allowed to believe what you want but they don't want to hear about it and scoff at your beliefs anyway. Ultimately they want you to believe in what they think you should believe and the rest of mankind has it wrong.

You're contradicting yourself. In the first sentence you say "You are allowed to believe what you want". In the sentence after that you say "Ultimately they want you to believe in what they think".

I don't know everything about CoExist. But from a distance, it looks like they just want people to work together regardless of what people's belief's are. Here's there statement:

Quote:
Coexist is a campaign to increase understanding and reduce conflict in divided communities by getting people to work and learn together.
How is that wrong?

What central belief do you think they want you to believe?

It's funny how, when you look at those co-exist stickers, some of the symbols are only on there because they make the spelling work.

C - islam
O - peace sign, which is not a religion or even a philosophy, really
E - supposed to represent science or humanism, it sometimes has e=mc2 or the E has the male and female symbols, either way, not a religion
X - judaism - the star of david doesn't remotely look like an X
I - sometimes paganism, which is a penagram but only used to dot an I, sometimes the wheel, which is a reference to confucianism which is more of an ethical system than anything else, and probably would align with the E most of all
S - buddhism
T - christianity

Of course, all this usually means is that the person in the car thinks you nasty T's need to shut up and cares little about any of the rest.

There's only one of those systems of thought which has a problem coexisting with the others.

I have found in most cases people who use bumper stickers to express their philosophy of life are as shallow as a teardrop~

Not true. One side has always pulled their membership card and rather it offended anyone never crossed their mind. They then just like now assume everyone should agree with them and those who do not are not worthy of consideration. Now more and more people are making their disagreement known. Ironically those who once cared little about offending anyone are crying there is a conquest against them and they are offended. This offensive conquest is nothing more than people disagreeing and pointing out they can believe as they choose but that doesn't make their beliefs true or give them the right to arrogantly assume their belief is worthy of more consideration. It is uncomfortable for them however they will just have to deal with it. The fact of the matter is they are not special and it is time they accepted that fact~
