Obama on killing the innocent

Give him credit. He can act.

He sees abortion as some sort of good fun though.

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/penn...yal-god-s-will

At the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, President Barack Obama said that “killing the innocent” is the “ultimate betrayal of God’s will.”

But the president was talking about terrorism, not abortion:

“Extremists succumb to an ignorant nihilism that shows they don’t understand the faiths they claim to profess, for killing the innocent is never fulfilling God’s will. In fact, it is the ultimate betrayal of God’s will,” Obama said.

Yet Obama is a long-time supporter of abortion rights.

No, but single motherhood is being romanticized and it's pretty much a train wreck. Maybe we as a society need to stop treating it as some kind of noble quest.

You are really pretty pathetic. These comments must have come from another patteeu.

I agree with that. I just happen to think that if an unprepared woman with no adequate support system doesn't want to embark on that quest then she should have that right. I'm not saying she should be commended or praised but simply that the option should exist and that random people thousands of miles away shouldn't have any input.

Of course, and I think most women head down that road with the best of intentions but for the long run, it's not working out for a large portion of them or their children. Have a child when you're not handling it on your own.

Neither of those statements is the same as "grade schoolers should have to work for lunch". Only a simple minded partisan would see them as equivalent.

One thing I do disagree on...if I'm paying for her and her child/children with my taxes, too bad if she doesn't like my criticism...no matter how many miles away I am.

How hard is it to not become pregnant? It may not be a cognitive choice, but they certainly chose their behavior...and I'm not talking about divorced moms...

That is ideal and good parents tend to instill this. But not everyone has good parents or even two at all. Though obviously people can make mistakes or they just aren't smart in their behavior regardless of the level of parenting received. I just can't see how forcing the people in bad situations into even worst ones is helping anybody. It just becomes a bad cycle with single mothers having kids young with their kids doing the same thing.

Yeah okay.

It is so funny to me that you call me a partisan. When did you last vote democrat?

2012, but I don't mind being called a partisan. I definitely think Republicans generally have better ideas on the issues I care most about (abortion and school lunches not being among those issues, btw). What's funny to me is that it bothers you so much when I point it out in you.

You're losing me. How are they being forced into a worse situation? By not having an abortion? Adoption. Or are we talking about supporting a single mom?
