Are you in a cultural bubble?

Interesting that this comes along now. There seems to be a lot of this happening here in ChiefsPlanet land. Some people seem to be very much contained in a bubble and are not exposing themselves to other ideas, cultures and experiences that would enrich their lives.

Take this cool short quiz and see where you score.

http://ideas.time.com/2012/04/06/qui...ltural-bubble/

Here was mine:
Quiz Completed
If you scored 0-30% you need to circulate more. Your bubble is very thick.
If you scored 30%-65% you are a work in progress. Your bubble may be expanding.
If you scored 65%-100% you do get around. Your bubble is quite large and permeable.
You scored 70%!

I am just throwing you some shit and was just pointing out saying that wasn't very cultured.

Actually I disagree I think liking or at least trying different culture's food is a good indicator if they are living in a cultural bubble, at least to me. I think it shows if a person is open-minded or not.

I got 70 percent as well. How can anyone take a 10 question quiz with ridiculous questions seriously?

Whether or not I go fishing provides no insight into my cultural situation.

80% although I'm not proud of watching an entire episode of Oprah at one point in my life.

I agree. I think the idea is that if you do none of some sorts of things you may be bubble bound. It is silly. But there are those elites who would say if you went fishing you are thus a bumpkin and unwashed. They would say the same if you are a hunter. Or fix old cars. Or have a pickup.

A high score would say you can relate well to the elite as well as to the good old boy.

I don't think I have, but I watched a shit ton of Donahue back in the day.

Would have been an interesting exercise to predict score before taking the test. And I wonder if Time would be shocked to see, at least so far here, those who have the highest scores indicating a more rich set of cultural awareness is the more conservative side.

Glad they didn't ask about The Gong Show. Chuck was a riot. Nothing proved how brainless a TV viewer could be like the Gong Show.

Gotta love it. Been a while since I thought of that entire thing. Chuck Barris. Is he dead?
