Jensen we need you. Tell us agin this isn't so...

The North Carolina State Board of Elections has found thousands of instances of voter fraud in the state, thanks to a 28-state crosscheck of voter rolls. Initial findings suggest widespread election fraud.

765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.
35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.
155,692 voters with the same first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state – and the latest date of registration or voter activity did not take place within N.C.
The second point is key, as double voting is election fraud under state and federal statutes. Punishment for double voting in federal elections can include jail time.

Didnt Obama get 99% in more than 100 precincts in some county in Ohio ?

It was said in like 50 of those precincts, Romney received 2 votes or less. TWO votes

Ohio was a swing state.

if so

Hell Obama's old ACORN days was nothing but lies, scams, misrepresentation of funds, and voting fraud dating back to the 90's.

New database of US voter fraud finds no evidence that photo ID laws are needed

A new nationwide analysis of 2,068 alleged election-fraud cases since 2000 shows that while fraud has occurred, the rate is infinitesimal, and in-person voter impersonation on Election Day, which prompted 37 state legislatures to enact or consider tough voter ID laws, is virtually non-existent.

In an exhaustive public records search, reporters from the investigative reporting projecdt News21 sent thousands of requests to elections officers in all 50 states, asking for every case of fraudulent activity including registration fraud, absentee ballot fraud, vote buying, false election counts, campaign fraud, casting an ineligible vote, voting twice, voter impersonation fraud and intimidation.

Click to search the national database of voter fraud cases compiled by News21.

Analysis of the resulting comprehensive News21 election fraud database turned up 10 cases of voter impersonation. With 146 million registered voters in the United States during that time, those 10 cases represent one out of about every 15 million prospective voters.

“Voter fraud at the polls is an insignificant aspect of American elections,” said elections expert David Schultz, professor of public policy at Hamline University School of Business in St. Paul, Minn.

“There is absolutely no evidence," Schultz said, that voter impersonation fraud "has affected the outcome of any election in the United States, at least any recent election in the United States."
You realize that A)the article you are quoting is 2 years old B)the voter fraud we are discussing is not about voter ID and C) the idea that we haven't seen much fraud that voter ID would fix doesn't mean it isn't happening... it simply means we are so broken we can't even see it. The article HC posted proves just how insanely broken our system is.

Exactly. One guy with a phony name went all over like superman. Or wait….a lot of people used the same phony name….but that would take some planning so no that did not happen.

Actually not at all. It becomes much much harder to fake especially if it's based on personal biometrics that are then encrypted to create a unique private "key" for each person. That "key" would be required to access/verify the data. I'm talking about combining retina/fingerprint data with DOB/SSN. So unless you plan on stealing an eyeball and a thumb... not likely to fake/manipulate or even access the data.

Since the data would be fully encrypted the only "public" data that could be tracked is numbers of votes by voting station by issue/candidate. In my perfect scenario you couldn't even break it down by gender or age or anything. (that can lead to abuse)

Yes, the NSA could crack it (in months for JUST ONE RECORD if it is 256bit like I would demand) and it would need serious tweaking once quantum computing is reality (quantum computing will make encryption a joke)... but these are tin foil hat concerns, I'm more concerned with tracking abuses and what not which would have to be covered by the law.

You're a dumbass.

I was pointing out that if it were in person voter fraud, it's more likely to be republican. It's not likely that it is, so my statement also points out that voter ID laws are still retarded and racist. You might have to glean it, but a smart guy like you.... oh, nevermind.

If it's so technologically advanced and encrypted, why would I need to leave my home to vote?

In theory you could create a remote system but there are a ton of issues there as well. (someone could hold a gun to your head and make you vote, yeah I know it's unrealistic but I'm shooting for a near perfect system)

You could however have voting kiosks in public places that would mitigate any issues. You could easily make these kiosks do more than just voting... passports, drivers licenses, etc... there would still be lines and inconvenience but far less than we currently experience.

For now I'd be fine with a monitored solution like we have currently but with my system overlaid on it.

Yeah I put a lot of stock into any kind government online voting system after our recent online Obamacare disaster. Something directly important as voting should never be administered by electronic methods that could be exploited by shenanigans. Voting only in person or by mail should be considered at this point.

I put out the caveat that I don't trust our govt to implement it. Oh and it wouldn't be online. My system leans heavily on biometrics so you and your thumb (and maybe even eye) need to physically be at the voting machine.

The great thing about my system would be that voting by mail (which is ridiculously outdated in my opinion) would no longer be necessary. Go to any machine anywhere (out of town polling areas, Army bases, embassy, etc..) and you would get the correct ballot for where you are supposed to vote and it would tally as such.

Easy peasy.

One last detail... the biometric data would "belong" to each individual, this would be spelled out in the law. The network would have to be federal but the machines and voting results "belong" to each voting district/entity.

Think of it like bank ATMs. The checking account is yours, the machine is Podunk Federal Bank but the network that runs it belongs to Cirrus (Mastercard).

Agree with the first paragraph. My issue would be with the second not leaving an option for an invalid like go bowe to vote.
