Jensen we need you. Tell us agin this isn't so...

The North Carolina State Board of Elections has found thousands of instances of voter fraud in the state, thanks to a 28-state crosscheck of voter rolls. Initial findings suggest widespread election fraud.

765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.
35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.
155,692 voters with the same first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state – and the latest date of registration or voter activity did not take place within N.C.
The second point is key, as double voting is election fraud under state and federal statutes. Punishment for double voting in federal elections can include jail time.

Anyone who doesn't think this is a very real issue is blind.
The results and database mentioned in the OP seems like the kind of thing that usually you would tear apart. The NC folks seem skeptical of the results.

The 765 number is the only one that seems relevant and plausible and even that, assuming no errors, would be .01% of registered voters.

You're delusional if you think Franken won the election fairly.

There are ~46,000 people in the United States named John Smith. Think a few live in North Carolina and maybe share the same birthday with an out-of-state version?

Okay, now repeat for every other possible name combination.

Jesus you people.

Having a day to vote does reward the responsible. Having strict rules on where you can vote, proving your identity, and having to take steps to vote if you're not there to vote in person does reward the responsible.

Instead we open ourselves up to tons of fraud and abuse to reward people who are too lazy/uninformed/irresponsible. A very, very, very small group.

Voting should be tougher than walking into a random voting place, wherever, whenever, telling them who you say you are, and being able to vote. Candidates have rules to get their name on the ballot, we should have higher standards to get ours on it too.

In fact the greatest manipulation of elections we've seen recently is voter suppression and gerrymandering.

This is obviously a list that's full of stuff like Bill Johnson, dob 7/14/1972 SSN xxx-xx-2819, from North Carolina might be SECRET DOUBLE VOTER with William Johnson, dob 7/14/1972 SSN xxx-xx-4066, from Ohio (or they might be totally different people, WHO CAN KNOW???).

So naturally AustinChief thinks it's fair to assume that OBVIOUSLY, Democrats gained 14,000+ illegal votes from this group of people, only 765 of whom have matching names + SSNs.

What a piece of work.
You have to be a special kind of stupid.

Nowhere does the data show that the SSNs are different... in many cases the db won't have complete data to rule out everyone.

Do you have any idea what the odds are of having the same name and DOB as someone else in the US is? Even with EXTREMELY common names the odds are ridiculous.

You honestly think there are 34,000+ registered voters in NC that share the same name and DOB as registered voters in other states?

That's all sorts of magic thinking right there.

The crosscheck db? Why would I tear it apart? The results are laid out clearly and they admit to having incomplete data. That doesn't mean you can't draw conclusions from the data based on simple statistics.

Do I think we should issue a recount on 2008s election? Obviously no, I was making assumptions there just to point out that the system is broken as hell. If you can't see that than you are more of a hack than I thought. (hard to imagine)

Where did anything say the database is incomplete?

Really? Again, 46,000 John Does in the USA. For all of them to have a unique birthday, one would have had to be born each day for the last 126 years. Definitely SUPER RIDICULOUS ODDS!!!11 of any of them sharing birthdays!!

It amuses me greatly that when called out on a stupid post (are you still standing by your "oh wow this probably cost McCain NC in 2008" assertion?), you seem unique on this forum in your ability to double down on your retardation. "You have to be a special kind of stupid" - hahahaha wow, as you are cluelessly writing crap like the above, what does it make you if I'm such an idiot and I'm correcting you?

If you want to overhaul the voting process and make it more secure, give it more integrity, make it more available and easier to do, be my guest.

If you want to issue laws that disproportionately affect the old the sick and the poor, not so much. Implementing new laws b/c dems have finally been successful at mobilizing their voters is pathetic. So is gerrymandering.

I thought this was interesting so I did some checking and it turns out the Interstate Crosscheck is all run out of Kansas and was designed and run by Kris Kobach. Yeah that idiot.

They have been doing this check for awhile and last year out of 84 million voters supposedly they found 5 million double voted. So when law enforcement got involved in some of these cases turns out there was no fraud. Shocking.

So I would take these numbers with a grain of salt or poop.
