Gay Agenda claims a new victim: Mozilla CEO

They just want to be accepted as equals. Nothing more, nothing less.

Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich forced to resign for supporting traditional marriage laws
BY JOEL GEHRKE | APRIL 3, 2014 AT 3:48 PM

Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich resigned under pressure after gay rights activists demanded that he step down or recant his support of traditional marriage laws.

Eich donated $1,000 to support Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that amended the state's constitution to define marriage as between one man and one woman.

"I don't want to talk about my personal beliefs because I kept them out of Mozilla all these 15 years we've been going,” Eich told The Guardian. “I don't believe they're relevant.”

That wasn't an option. "CEO Brendan Eich should make an unequivocal statement of support for marriage equality," a Credoaction petition signed by almost 75,000 people said, per The Inquirer. "If he cannot, he should resign. And if he will not, the board should fire him immediately."

When asked if his beliefs about marriage should constitute a firing offense the way racism or sexism does, Eich argued that these religious beliefs — and beliefs popular as of 2008 — should not be used as a basis for dismissal.

"I don't believe that's true, on the basis of what's permissible to support or vote on in 2008," he told CNET. "It's still permissible. Beliefs that are protected, that include political and religious speech, are generally not something that can be held against even a CEO. I understand there are people who disagree with me on this one."

On Thursday, Mozilla announced that he had resigned. "Mozilla prides itself on being held to a different standard and, this past week, we didn't live up to it," executive chairwoman Mitchell Baker wrote. "We know why people are hurt and angry, and they are right"

But nothing they did was against the law or unethical. They had a beef, and they made it known. It's completely within their right.

If there is any bigotry that took place, it lies with the board of directors who fired the guy. And that's only if the gay thing was the very reason for firing him (which it appears it isn't).

What Prison Bitch is trying to say is that it was the nasty gay rights advocates who supposedly ruined this dude's career and made him a "victim". That's a pretty ****ing big stretch, wouldn't you say?

Is anyone going to address that Obama opposed gay marriage the same year this guy gave his $1,000? Anyone?

No, I agree with Prison Bitch and Bill Maher.

While I agree that they have the right to boycott or speak out against whoever they please, so do klansmen and communists. It's the position that they take, that anyone who privately opposed gay marriage is unfit to lead Mozilla, is what makes them bigots.

It's possible that Eich is also a bigot like Dave Lane suggests, but IMO the overwhelming weight of the evidence is against that conclusion.

Obama's saving grace here is that no one believes he's sincere about anything.

Idiots who vilify a man who believes that the traditional definition of marriage is a union between a woman and a man deserve the label of "bigots".

In no way did Eich suggest gays should be treated like blacks in the days of lynchings and water hoses and cross burnings.

A question to the anti-gay bigots here, especially Prison Bitch: how does it feel knowing that the job creators of tomorrow in the tech industry have no place for you and your antiquated views? Does it make you mad at all to watch the evil liberals profit so greatly from all the new technology they're building that you'll never be a part of?

Another one of the hilarious things conservatives fail to understand is that jokes/insults like that aren't even insulting to anyone who supports gay rights.

The premise of the insult is that there's something wrong with sucking cocks and therefore something wrong with anyone who engages in it. I guess it probably makes you feel better to lash out against this change in society that angers you so, but all it does is make you look kinda stupid to someone for whom your insult means literally nothing.

Hey DayeMania bigots are entitled to free speech and association too. That includes religious bigots and anti-traditional marriage/values bigots.

Not only that but there's even gays that don't support gay marriage.
I allowed a friend of mine to be my roomate who turned gay and she was upfront about it at a time I was opposed to gay marriage. ( She was too because she felt it imposed her lifestyle on society at large to accept.) It has nothing to do with hating gays with everyone. It has to do with supporting traditional marriage.

Marriage for gays, at least for men, is an oxymoron because their lifestyle is all about sexual liberation--not fidelity or the constraints of parenthood.

Has less to do with rights then wanting to force others to accept them using the force of boycotts or govt. In other words to mainstream their values. If that doesn't work legal protections so they can sue others into compliance--not so much for liberty and protection.

It's called progressivism....using the force and violence of the mob and govt to bludgeon others into accepting the values of another group.
