I have a terrible, terrible confession.

I always thought "Money for Nothing" was ZZ Top. I just found out it wasn't.

At first I was like

But the guitar riff is mildly ZZ Top-ish and Knopfler kind of does a growly voice sorta like Billy Gibbons, so it's not COMPLETELY ridiculous, although one would think that sometime in the last 25 years you would have straightened this out.

So instead of , I'd give it

In I'd Really Love to See You Tonight by England Dan & John Ford Coley I always thought he was singing "I'm not talking 'bout the linen..." I don't know what I thought it meant.

There I feel much better now.

It's not? I always thought that's what was said, a quick google search shows that as the lyrics.

My most recent song faux pas, was Eric Clapton's Forever Man...

I thought it was saying,"Won't you be my FOUR LETTER woman... trying to be your FOUR LETTER man.... Letter man... letter man... "

I figured four letter woman, was wife... but couldn't figure out what a four letter man would be.

Then, I was like, doh!
