Cops Screw Up Again

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...led-by-police/

Apparently they killed a hostage, but they do feel bad about it.

You'd think with the public acclaim, profound respect, and affluent life we afford these selfless public servants....that we would get more honorable and civilized law enforcement officials...

The librarian? Great touch. And you're right. We should all take a "So what?" approach towards corruption, malfeasance and incompetence for any job more theoretically dangerous than that of a librarian. It's not even worth discussing that cops shot and killed a (at least reportedly) completely innocent man who was trying to help a wounded hostage.

**** him. Omelets and eggs, right?

Yep. Unarmed, innocent civilians are going to be gunned down by police officers. What's all the fuss about?

You do realize its possible to not believe this at all but still be angered by an incident like this, correct?

Maybe I should have written a different title but it just seems that this is happening a little more than usual lately.

Outrage is one thing; painting law enforcement with the unfair broad-brush that so many here seem prone to do...is quite another. Of course, CP folks are much smarter that those who would simply settle for 'outrage'---when histrionic over-the-top over-reaction and hyperbole are so, so much more effective in putting scum coppers in their place!!! Oink, oink....ya damn, oinker Pig Nazi bastards!

Maybe there's a whole lot more of stupid going on in society, that increases the chances for something like this happening...

I mean, rather, cops pretending this was an accident to cover their asses....I mean. Yeah, that's it. AmIright, fellas?

They feared for their lives. It was their only course of action.

Nope. They just use that as their cover story. Only a moron would believe it was an "accident." They were eager to kill someone, anyone. It's fun for them. They can't wait until they can do it again. Truth, bra.

I'm not bagging on the cops but this just isn't acceptable. That's one of the most idiotic things I've read. Cops killed an innocent man, derp, shit happens, derp.

Perhaps I'm missing something but I don't see anyone advocating for not holding accountable those who do wrong...

That Librarian had better get her Dewey decimal on. I don't tolerate incompetence in my library, bitch!

I didn't mean it so casually, but I think the point of starting the thread was to act like this is common, that cops are Nazis, etc. Obviously, stuff like this should be fully investigated and people punished as appropriate. I've run into some asshole cops, but you'll find assholes in every occupation.

This... an we find any other recent examples of the police shooting someone other than their intended target, or a hostage or whatever? Since this is so common.
