What GOP candidates of 2012 are deadbeats today?

Well it ain't Ron Paul, Rick Perry or Mitt Romney!

Deadbeat GOP Primary candidates that still owe money:
Herman Cain
Rick Santorum
Newt Gingrich
Michele Bachmann

Michele Bachmann: $46,353.23
Bachmann’s debt comes from legal fees. As Loop fans will recall, she is under investigation for allegedly violating campaign finance laws and was also sued for a separate campaign indiscretion.

Herman Cain: $175,000.00

Cain is in debt to himself for loans he made to his presidential campaign that are billed as travel expenses.

Rick Santorum: $496,401.09
Santorum owes payments to 11 companies, most of which, $430,487.74, are owed to his old friend John Brabender. Brabender, a GOP media consultant, ran Santorum’s presidential campaign.

Newt Gingrich: 4,721,538.68
Gingrich seems to owe everyone money, including 649,117.54 to himself for travel expenses. He owes nearly a million dollars for private air travel.

Of course Romney already had a lot of his own money. But the others obviously suffer from fiscal mis-management. They had no right to run on balancing any budget or spending cuts.

I'll bet that Cochise supported one of them in the primary too.

Herman Cain's whole run was probably designed by his accounting firm so he could take a tax write off when he needs one.

For most of the R candidates, setting up and running a campaign was just a free way for them to sell their books, to increase exposure in hopes of getting a TV or radio gigs, and to plump speaker fees. It's a wonderful system.

My dad listens to Herman Cain radio show (yes my dad is a mouth breathing conservative no matter how hard I try to convince him both parties suck). So I guess Herman Cain benefited by getting a radio gig. Unless he had the radio show before. I don't know.
