Tea Party loses primary in NC

Thom Tillis, from the establishment GOP beats the TP...

http://www.cnn.com/2014/05/06/politi...html?hpt=hp_t2

My guess is the TP doesn't win a single senate primary this go round. The GOP learned its lesson last time with the likes of Aiken et al and will select establishment candidates in the attempt to take back the Senate. They may succeed.

Hmmm...this alleged victory story over a Tea Party candidate doesn't end as well when you find out that the Beltway elite's BIG-money planned purge of Rep. Walter Jone's (R) using the Big Lie didn't work. Apparently, they tried to paint him as a liberal.

Partly paraphrased from:
http://townhall.com/columnists/patbu...5631/page/full

What is his real record?

Voted against No Child Left Behind under Bush

Voted against Obamacare under Obama (EDITED later to add the word "against" )

Voted against the BIG Bank Bailouts, Wall Street and Detroit

Voted against Cap and Trade

Voted against TARP

Voted against trillion-dollar stimulus package

Voted against every increase in the debt ceiling in 10 years and refuses to vote for any U.S. budget not in balance.

Has 100 percent rating from National Right to Life

Receives a consistent A from the NRA

He does oppose same-sex marriage [ which should NOT BE a national Fed govt issue anyway]

Has voted for years to end foreign aid including to Israel

"A national organization opposing illegal immigration gives Jones an A+ for battling to secure America's borders and block amnesty.

Camp Lejeune is in Jones' district, and he has received awards from every veterans organization from the American Legion to the Disabled American Veterans.

FreedomWorks cited Jones last year as the most conservative member of the North Carolina delegation and one of the 10 most conservative members of the House. "

And YES, Mr. Freedom Fries eventually came to realize voting to support our Iraq invasion was one of the worst mistakes of his career. This is why a pro-peace principled conservative had men like Bill Kristol and Sheldon Adelson try to put millions of dollars into destroying this one congressman's career by trying to claim he was a liberal.

Quote:
With this massive intervention in North Carolina, not to elect some outstanding new candidate, but to kill the career of one defiant dissenter, the GOP establishment is sending a message to the Republican base:

Our "Big Tent" is not big enough to include Walter Jones.

But if that is true of Walter Jones, what does that say to a nation that has come to agree with Walter Jones that America should mind her own business and stop fighting other countries' wars?

Who is out of touch with America here?
All that money from outsiders who are not this man's constituents didn't do it.

Oh and the following guys were also behind the attempt to remove Jones: "Karl Rove, former Governor and RNC chair Haley Barber and the War Party’s highly paid chief PR flack, Ari Fleischer.” ( same link )

Notice how often these guys appear on Fox News. What does that tell ya' about the real agenda of Fox news.

So you're saying he was conservative until he adopted the foreign policy of the left.

Nope. I'm showing what a conservative record, including FP looks like. Or should.

I am also saying Republicans of your kind have adopted the foreign policy of the left, since it's the same kind as the Cominterm. Ya' know the one that socialist Zbigniew Brzezinski and Soros endorse. Just like Murdoch who worshipped a statue of Lenin.

I knew you'd be the first to counter it though and just called Americans out as leftists on FP too.

Who is out of touch with America here?
