These people are just looking for a better life and need a second chance to rape, rob, murder, or run into someone while they drive drunk.

There was just no logical reason the House GOP accused Obama of not being trustworthy enough on enforcement, to agree to the Senate's Amnesty bill. Obama clearly cares about enforcement.

Sounds to me like these figures actually came from the Obama admin. Maybe you need to wake up now.

Obviously, for the Democrat party the more illegals the better.

Unfortunately the Republican party seems to have positioned itself as pretending to care about illegal immigration but actually being pro-amnesty, because they see the potential voting blocks just as much as the Democrats do.

The OP doesn't mention anything about Illegals. Nothing at all.

Not ONE. SINGLE. TIME. Immigrants aren't Illegal....they're immigrants. These are American Citizens we're talking about in the OP. We're talking about a bunch of Dongers.

So you mean they're smart? They're actually trying to reach out to a different demographic. Sounds to me like they've realized what they need to do to win an election. The GoP is trying to repair a completely ****ed up and broken image, im sorry if that offends you.

on one hand the government goes after and locks up people with minor drug violations for their War of Drugs, but on the otherhand they let out convicted violent criminals.

Alright so im noticing a pattern here...people reacting to sensationalism without actually reading what the article says. I know it can sometimes be hard to move past the slant that supports what you want it to say, but lets go ahead and give it a shot, shall we?

Firstly, the article clearly states that they're immigrants, not ILLEGAL immigrants. If you have a tiny myopic brain like Foreverliar, you're initial response to this article was, "OMG those filthy illegals blah blah ****ing blah". Well, lets go ahead and throw that idea out the window right off the bat and focus on the U.S Immigrants in question here.

Second: Of the 36,000 released, 173 were convicted for some sort of murder. For those who don't like to do math, i'll go ahead and do it for you. 173 = .48% of 36K. Less than HALF a Percent. Kinda takes a little bit of the bite away when we go from 36K to less than Half a percent, eh? Not quite as shocking anymore is it?

3rd: So shock value aside, Of that HALF a percent, 75% were release because of a 2001 SCOTUS ruling. A Ruling that occurred either during the Bush or Clinton Administration, not the Obama Admin.

Don't get me wrong here, i agree that 173 released is 173 too many. But if we're going to put our critical thinking caps on and figure out who's to blame for this .5%, then we should probably look at the SCOTUS ruling that occurred during either the Bush or Clinton Administration, not the Obama admin.

I'm not trying to sound like an Obama apologist here, but if we're going to try to be angry at someone for this then you need to be angry for the right reasons and angry at the right people.

Where does it say they were Illegal though? You have something to quote that states they were Illegal?

You got me. You're right. Immigrant does not necessarily = Citizen. Nor does it equate to Illegal either.

I have a father in law who is terrible at this kind of thing. I always joke that if he read a headline that said "Your Ass is on Fire" he would jump up and try to put it out. He pretty much runs with whatever the headline say. If you try to have an actual discussion with him he has no idea what the meat of the subject is. What ever we're doing as a country it's wrong. When asked "what would you do?" it's always "I don't have any idea". It's like having a conversation with one of those machines that you pull a string and it tells you what the cow says.
