Eric Cantor is in trouble

This could be a little early, but the House Majority Leader appears to be going down.

He was expected to easily turn aside a tea party challenger, but Eric Cantor is now losing by a whopping 11 points in his primary with about 51% of precincts reporting.

All I can find is Cantor's average rating based on the Constitution over a number of years 1999-2013 which averages out at 56%. Compared to Rand Paul who's rating is 94%. That's a bit better, but I wouldn't call it conservative. He'd have to be at least 75% to be fairly conservative using a Constitutional litmus test. Democrats usually rank in the teens using this test.

I find it funny that Cosmo is basically rooting for Bush part III in Hillary.

It happened here in our special congressional election due to a rep's death, when the underdog won. Only she outspent the R 2-1.

I think it means an R who hasn't yet gone FULL nutjob. Maybe still has a couple toes left dangling in reality.

http://congress.freedomworks.org/keyvotes/house/2014

Now, scoring him with regard to the Constitution, true conservatism, I'll bet his score is even lower. Afterall, he's for school choice when he sits in the national congress who has no authority to be involved in that. It's a local issue. So he sounds Constitutionally weak. I'll have to check it though but on that issue he is weak.
On a hunch, I assumed it was a very tiny selection of votes before clicking that link. It was. Nine votes. 4 out of 9 is what you are going to base it on when it comes to conservative vs liberal? I recognize that they cast dozens of meaningless votes a year, but they cast more than 9 which should be scored.

They are basing that on freedom principles--not the number of votes. However, I gave you another average which also uses freedom principles based on the Constitution and that's an average from 1999-2013. It doesn't even cover 2014 which the Freedomworks number is based on alone. The FW's one showed he had a better rating some other years--not all by huge leaps but better. Some were conservative years. But for 2014 he's lower at 44% but 56% from 1999-2013. That appears to be his range. He's not really conservative. Fairly conservative would be around 75%. Leaning would be about 65% based on what the conservative ideology is about; limited govt, low taxes etc.
