The few thinks I took away even though other issues were addressed:

1. He did lie about the under $250,000 people not having their taxes raised.

2. He did try very hard to close Guantanamo but it was stopped by other lawmakers. And it looks like he is still working on that. Maybe not in the best way.

3. He did lie about Obamacare. He pushed it as being able to keep your old insurance. That was far from the truth. Anyone with half a brain should have known that wasn't going to be the case. When part of the law forces you to have certain coverage this will force some people to change their insurance. Still don't think Obamacare is horrible. I think it needs to work out the rough edges and it will get better for everyone. Although he should have been more upfront about the changes coming.

4. I have no problem with anything he has done with the recovery. They probably didn't get it perfect but considering the mess it was no one would have. I also believe just about any president, Repub or Dem, would have handled it very much the same way.

You could make this type of clip about every recent president. No standing army can defeat this country. The pig****ers in DC are doing it without the need of war. Rome is falling and only the groupies from the left and right do not see it coming~

The last quote used is by a conservative commentator:
"Love your country, but never trust your govt."
Yet, many who claim to be on the right believe and trust our govt hook-line-and-sinker when it comes to foreign policy, need for the military in far off places that are no threat, demonization of other people's and cultures, and or when an R is in the WH. They are as gullible as the left--just on different issues.

Well, people who were there spoke out about it later. Including former CIA who said they were leaned on to make the intel fit the policy. There are others. There's also the PNAC memo. These have been posted and linked here in the past...tho still heavily denied and dissed by the right who suffered from the "fevered imaginings."

Excellent point--because targeted, strategic strikes is pretty much the same as sending in 100,000 troops, dismantling the government, building a new one, and babysitting in perpetuity.

Huh? I don't know what you are talking about.

Clinton ordered the strikes because Saddam said he would no longer cooperate with the UN weapons inspectors. I'm not sure where a lie enters into this.

But Clinton specifically targeted Saddam's WMD Capabilities.

Quote:
Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.
Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world.

Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.
So if Clinton believed Saddam had the capability, wouldn't it stand to reason Bush would believe the same thing? Just like most of the intelligence communities around the world believed it?

The left is aware of this. It was agreed by both parties that he had WMD. It is used against Bush and the groupies fall in line with the revisionist history pointing the finger~
