So what's the problem?

I said it's not the same issue.

Please, let me know what you're confused by.

There isn't. I am just explaining what I responded to. So can understand why I posted what I did.

I think you have the problem.

This sort of reminds me of that EPA decision. You have a statute, in this case the religious freedom restoration act, which is clear on what you can and can't do. Then you have the executive branch trying to make whatever interpretation suits them at the moment supercede the statute.

This is a separation of powers issue just as much as it is a religious freedom issue, and I'm glad that the Court sided with these two sacred ideas, rather than the administration which considers thos concepts their arch ideological enemies.

What if a employer doesn't believe in antibiotics like many religious child endangering people do. Should they not have to provide insurance payments for families whose children need help?
Is there some medical reason why a woman would require 1 of the 4 abortifacients rather than the other 16 covered contraceptives?

Very happy for this decision even though it doesn't affect me, I do value religious freedom. This stupid law should have never mandated birth control to be a part of insurance in the first place.

I still fully believe that the mandate is unconstitutional, but whatever.

Well, as a mandate Robers pretty much said the same--just that it's not really a mandate but a tax.

Does this decision allow employers to not cover ALL contraceptives?

No, but why is it any of your business unless you are that woman?

I believe that is the case for closely held companies, such as Hobby Lobby, where there is no clear distinction between the company and the family that runs it. I would think this would have been an even easier case for a sole proprietorship or a partnership or S corporation. The only thing that it doesn't seem to apply to is a publicly held company.

Government is supposed to take the least restrictive path to a given aim. If they are already providing ample opportunity for contraception then why does providing some mean you have to provide all?
