It's not our responibility.

Send the teenagers back.......

For a country of immigrants that's harsh. But we're being taken advantage of as a country and it's become a joke. Merica will pay for you so go here....No we won't!

This has merit. They could build the border fence. 3 meals of beans and rice and flour totillas a day and all the water they want. Graffiti scrapers are in demand as well.

Under Hoover, Truman and Eisenhower just the threat of deportation, while deporting some, caused many illegals to return to their countries. Eisenhower was more vigorous than his predecessors.
Quote:

Under Hoover

As nearly as we can gauge from the official record, 121,067 persons were deported or induced to leave during Hoover’s four-year term.
The concept of "illegal immigration" was new during Hoover's time in office tho'. He banned immigrants from Asia and placed limits on Europeans, but none on Mexico—to avoid alienating our neighbor. Then during the Depression there was an exodus of illegals, as well as those who became citizens that went home.

Quote:
Under Truman
It’s true that many were deported or induced to return "voluntarily" during the Truman years. We figure, based on the official historical tables, that more than 127,000 were formally deported and more than 3.2 million left voluntarily rather than face deportation — a total of nearly 3.4 million.

This site states that the 13 million deportation figure by Ike, claimed by some is exaggerated— Ike deported 1.3 million. This site suggests there may have been a typo, where someone may have accidentally dropped the decimal point.

Quote:
Under Eisenhower
Mexican nationals were shipped back using trucks, buses, planes and ships. According to the Texas State Historical Society, the use of ships was discontinued after some drownings caused a public outcry in Mexico.
What this site, doesn't tell you is how many had entered even approximately ,to compare to how many were deported or who were induced to leave on their own due to the threat of deportation.

Neither side has done anything about illegal immigration for the last 30 years. Total failure of all elected officials in our country.

I don't know enough about the Mexican political scene but what percentage of Mexicans want to immigrate to the US? Is it a majority of Mexicans? Would it be a possibility to just make Mexico the 51st state through completely legal means like them voting on it?

I don't want them voting here. They already live in a socialism and do nothing about it. They'll turn America into that, not knowing what makes their opportunities so bad.

Oh wait! We're becoming that anyway.

This is the crux of the problem: at no point in the past 40 years of polling has even 20% of the public wanted more immigration. Yet we got it. The only way Wall Street can make their growth projections is to massively grow the headcount of consumers and they looooove their cheap labor. The GOP was the only party that *could* have done somethign about immigration but alas, they were too addicted to the Big Business dollars for campaigning. And in so, completely betrayed their nation.

So in that case, the GOP is more evil. They knew what they were doing. The Democrats were just being democrats, they can't really control that.

More evidence for why we need a significant military presence along the border.

The border fence should also be significantly enhanced to extend across the entire southern border and drones should be programmed with a shoot any suspicious moving object directive.

Also land mines should be considered.

If illegals have zero chance at surviving when trying to cross the border, they won't do it.

This is the Cloward-Piven strategy at work on illegal immigration folks. Just enough on the left, believe their side's talking points more. Such as, we really don't want it for power for the Democrats.

Thought NAFTA was supposed to bring jobs to Mexico so we could participate in the division of labor. Yet, they come here for work?
