Drone Tanks

Is there such a thing? I've never heard of it but it seems to me that if we can have drone aircraft why can't we have drone tanks?

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

The lazer or laser is awesome but I would imagine that even an auto reloading tank could only carry so many rounds.

Technologically, we doubtless can, but ground bound tanks have a minuscule fraction of the evasion capabilities of aircraft and capture with concomitant reverse engineering is a big deal in this realm of combat.

If a car or plane can be driven by remote, I don't think there's any reason a tank couldn't be.

Well yeah but they should be built to self destruct once useless. With something really nasty.

Self destruct with about 14 billion BBs as the tank walls?

Problem is they'd be much more prone to capture/damage.

The tech would come in remote sensing/antipersonnel/mine detection that type thing. Much more feasible in the air.
