It's because we're facing Milton...he absolutely owns the Royals. It always seems like he has a no-hitter through 5 everytime he pitches against KC.

I looked it up...over the last three years he has more pitching victories against the Royals than against any other team.

vs. the Royals: 9 starts, 6-1 3.38 ERA, 8 BB, 37 SO coming into todays' game since the beginning of the 1999 season.

Tis true.

Suppy pitchin pretty well. He's given up his ceremonial homer already, but he's only given up 4 hits through 6 innings, walked 1 and stuck out 4.

Let's hope we can get to him this inning, as we have the top of the order up in the 7th.

I guess I'd like an explaination as to why Muser decided to play Sadler, Berger, MaCarty, Hinch, and Alicea, one day after the team put up 16 runs.

I guess the Genius that is Tony Muser feels that momentum is over-rated.

Well, at least I had both Soupy and Milton on my fastasy BB team today.

Is it just me, or does it seem like every time the Royals have a big game with the bats, they follow it up with a poor offensive performance? There were a couple of games last year where we went crazy back to back, but over the decade, it seems like more often than not, we just follow big games up with stinkers.

Actually, I think it was a combination of things:
1) Randa and Knoblach got dinged up last night and this is the start of a lot of games without a day off, and
2) He loaded up righties against a tough lefty (Milton)

D. Sadler RF-righty for lefty Tucker, but man I hate him
N. Perez SS
C. Beltran CF
M. Sweeney DH
B. Berger LF-righty plus subbing for Knobby
L. Alicea 3B-subbing for Randa
D. McCarty 1B-partially rest Sweeney + takes lefty Ibanez out of lineup
A. Hinch C-for lefty Mayne
C. Febles 2B

The funny thing is, they only got one run anyway, so while I may understand his logic I just don't agree with it.
