Tim, Thanks.. I loved House Atreides so much, I have gone back and read Dune and Dune Messiah all over again.
I had forgotten so much. Thanks for reminding me of an old friend that I truly enjoyed.... BTW - I like knowing why good old Vlad got as fat as he did. It had me busting up. |

I also appreciated the history on the planetologist, Kaynes (sp? ~ it's late and I don't want to go look up his name). I thought they did a fantastic jod writing in the style of Frank Herbert. I actually thought this was more like the original Dune than some of the sequals! Luz fear is a killer. i will face my fear and let it wash through me... |

Well, I'm through the first 60 pages (not a lot of progress due to watching the Giants/Mets game). It starts about 10 years after the first one left off, but continues the same style. A touch slow at this point, but I'm obviously not very far into it. I won't reveal anything more, other than to say that Gurney and Jessica have finally joined the party.
