Weird how some people think we should decide who to vote for based exclusively because of what non-Americans think. That goes both in terms of supporting or rejecting a candidate because of what Europeans or others prefer...

Apparently, if Europeans hated the idea of Pat Buchanan being president even more than Bush, that means we should all vote Buchanan. Brilliant logic...

It's a different place, with its own financial and political stakes in what happens here that might be totally different than the interests of a voter over here in the states.

It makes me laugh when people say "Europe is pro-sKerry", like they know better than us or something. What makes you think Europe gives a rip what happens to you? They want someone who is going to be more beholden to their own interests. Americans want someone who's more interested in our best interests. That's why we'll always tend to disagree, IMO.

Right, I'm saying that goes both ways. Some here say "Europe wants Kerry, so we DEFINITELY don't want him". That makes as much sense to me as saying we definitely DO want him just because Europe does. Namely, none whatsoever.

If a foreign country were to endorse GWB for President, which one would make you proud?

That way the American taxpayer gets stuck with the bill instead of the cost being shared by partner countries. Oh, thats right.... its not us current taxpayers that are paying for all this.... the Republicans are just adding it all to the national debt. Run the tab into the stratosphere and let someone else pay it off later - now there's "fiscal responsibility" for ya!

The debt will continue to pile up until there's a Democrat in the White House. Then, when he suggests tax increases to pay for all of this shit, he'll be labeled as a "typical tax-and-spend Democrat".

It's actually a pretty smart move on the part of the Republicans. Spend whatever they want, let the Democrat look like a prick for wanting to pay for it.
