Tennessee misses a field goal.

Miami has the ball, looks like they have to punt.

IIRC, Nedney got hurt a day or two after Mort signed with Minny.

Tennessee has the ball, primarily due to Steve McNair's toughness.

They appear to have the kicker who was Minnesota's guy last year (Eiling), but the weird thing is that NFL.com's stats say that Eiling also punted the ball today. Is that a typo, or did Tennessee lose their punter too? Or am I just clueless and Eiling was a punter last year?

Chris Brown is about to get his 50th carry, and we're almost through the first quarter. The announcers are expounding about the tough manner in which McNair hands the ball off.

On Wednesday their team site showed Hentriech (sp?) as both punter and place kicker. Don't what is up with Eiling doing both jobs now.

All I know is that I drafted Nedney in that draft and just realized a couple of minutes ago that I had him as my kicker in another league and active this week!

Making fun of McNairs toughness brings up a good point.....Why does this dude take such a pounding and why does he get hit so much? Is it because his offensive lines sucks perhaps??

Good question. Does he get hit more often, or is he just particularly tough when he does get hit, chewing off tacklers' ears and such?

Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans P Craig Hentrich (back) is listed as probable for the Saturday, Sept. 11, game against the Miami Dolphins. The injury is not considered serious and Hentrich will still kick extra points and field goals in Saturday's game.

Titans | Elling's Role Uncertain; A Stop Gap for Week 1 - from www.KFFL.com
Fri, 10 Sep 2004 11:54:33 -0700

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Tennessee Titans, who are expected to sign free agent PK Aaron Elling (Vikings) Friday, Sept. 10, are uncertain how the place-kicking duties will be shared by Elling and P Craig Hentrich in the season opener against the Miami Dolphins Saturday, Sept. 11. The team is adding Elling after a season-ending injury to PK Joe Nedney (hamstring). Elling is viewed only as a stop gap for Week 1, as the team plans to sign PK Gary Anderson next week.
