We are due to stumble upon a player like that.

Also, Andy Reid has been quick to walk out and point out flaws in the qbs and other players and all I saw was "nice throw kid" and stuff like that. I am gonna be pissed if the kid reverts back to being sloppy at times like he did at Tennessee, but if he keeps putting up performances like the last couple days, Alex Smith better hope to god he doesn't struggle or get injured. If he does, I doubt Bray gives the job back. Again, I am basing these opinions on 2 days at camp with him playing with the 3s...but I am genuinely excited to have him on our team. The guy looks like a first round pick out there. And a good one at that. |

The Chiefs offense also showed promise in 9-on-7 drills, when rookie QB Tyler Bray stepped in and made the most of his opportunity, finding Chiefs WR Jamar Newsome down the left side for a big gain, before also hitting Newsome for a TD to end 11-on-11, near the completion of practice. "He’s a down-the-field QB,” Newsome said of Bray. "He loves to throw the ball down the field and I love that too, because I’m a vertical guy." Bray also connected with Chiefs WR Josh Bellamy on what was one of the best throws of the day. "I thought he was going to throw it inside, “Bellamy said. “But, he went up top and when I looked up, I saw that it was a beautiful ball and I was like, ‘I have to make this one!’" Bray described his day by focusing on what made the throws possible. "Going down the field, the o-line was blocking great,” Bray said. “There was no one in my face; I was hitting short stuff, just deke and dunking, until we got to the goal line and tried to throw a fade to Bellamy, it kind of slipped out of my hands and I threw a bad ball and the next one came up, I threw it in the corner to Newsome and he caught it." |
I've been reading all the reports on Bray, and he does appear to have some major upside. Undoubtedly he has the "Arm" to be a NFL Quarterback, it is just between his ears where he apparently needs lots of work. Man, I hope he knows he needs to work at his craft! It would be nice for the Chiefs to " finally" have a legitimate QBOTF on the roster! Already he's making the future of the Chiefs very exciting! I'm really looking forward to this season!

Anyone thinking of getting his jersey should hold off a for a bit. Sometimes when a player goes from undrafted to starter in a year or so, they change jersey numbers.

Geno, who?

He would have to have a reason to switch from 9... He was 12 in High School, 8 in College. He has never stuck with a number. If he changes, he changes...I am one of the goddamn captains of this ship. I am not a follower. If you see a #9 Bray jersey this preseason...it is most likely me. Come up and say whats up Mr_Tomahawk. :thumb: |
