**** this guy to hell

Allowed just 1 pressure tonight per the postgame. No QB hits or sacks allowed. Was amazing in pass pro.
He's the ultimate doubled edged sword |

After next season we could cut him with a $9M dead money number but it would save us $15M in cap savings. |

It's interesting how so many posters think he's terrible and so many others think he's awesome. Few players create such polarizing views. |
Why can’t we just chalk it up to a bad year penalty wise, with a little extra shit from the refs? He was a solid player at Jacksonville and he’s been pretty damn good in pass protection. Several people on this team have had a down year. Let’s give him another season and hope he gets it fixed. Hell, we might as well, we can’t cut him anyway.
|
Move him to LT in the offseason.
You can’t get this sort of negative black hole of penalty suck from a $20m RT while you bargain shop for the guy protecting Mahomes’ blind side. |
I am giddy with how well we played and I'm in a fantastic mood. But please don't tell me how well Taylor played after he erased 4 points off our score for that needless block in the back and should have cost us a possession for the false start on 3rd and 5.
|
Count me in the camp that's confused why we're so mad at him tonight. Dude got ****ed on an awful penalty.

He is on the team for at least two more years. His 3rd season on the team (2025) guarantees in March of THIS offseason. |

I'm drunk and happy and don't feel inclined to give books to those that will just eat the pages. If they're convinced Jawaan Taylor was a pile of ass tonight - so be it. I just don't care. **** 'em. |

Smith completely gacked a couple run reps and I couldn't give one **** less. Guy kept Mahomes clean. A jaked run rep that turns a 1st and 10 into 2nd and 11 is just as bad as a penalty that turns 1st and 10 into 1st and 15. But when Smith bombs a run rep, nobody says boo. Taylor gets a 5 yard penalty or gets boned on an awful block in the back and he's just a worthless puddle of ****. Okay. Fine. You know what you know and that's all that you'll know. I'm just not interested in the argument. Be wrong - it ain't any skin off my ass. |
Well when I see womble and comochiefsfan on one side of a take I just know I need to be on the other side no matter what.
Thanks for filling me in gents. |
Some of you have no idea what you're watching.

Just saw the false start penalty again. That one was on Creed. He moved before Jawaan

I get that folks around here choose a narrative and stick with it, but Taylor did a nice job protecting Pat. That's it. That's all that matters. |

Next year I'm hopeful he can clean it up and get the spotlight off himself. |

It's been everywhere the last two years. Truly terrible... |
Miami's edge rush was decimated, so it's not a great test, but I thought both offensive tackles did their jobs last night. When Miami didn't blitz, Pat had a clean pocket. That was evident early on and gave me confidence we'd win.

his block in the back was a BS call, which proves that |

He’s competent and paid well, which is why I think we should move him to the left side. He costs too much and commits too many penalties for me to be comfortable with him staying on the right side. In his current position, he’s been disappointing and bordering on bust status (still early). Throwing him in at LT would be a more effective use of resources. |
What's it gonna cost us to dump this guy?

I do think he will be better next year after the record setting penalties though.
|
Gotta think he works during the off-season and is much better next season. He's had a target since game 1 from the refs and dumb**** Collinsworth about his stance/release.
|
Surely he can figure the penalty issue out. I'd rather him be a great tackle that takes penalties than a terrible tackle that never takes any.
One is a hell of a lot easier to fix than the other. Stuff snowballed on him this year. Some of it his fault, some not. |

Same as most big contracts. |

Dolphins had edge rushers off the street rushing. |
Taylor’s pass protection is what was expected/hoped for. He can generally be left alone and hold up, even against really good rushers.
The penalties have obviously been a big issue. If he can clean those up I think it ends up working out pretty well. Schwartz and Fisher spoiled us. |
Dude better figure out the penalties. That shit is aggravating.

Well Patrick had all the time in the world last night. Miamis defense is depleted. But just average LT play should get the job done

He played a really good game last night, as did Smith. The difference in Smith and Morris is so staggering that I think people forgot how good Smith is (not saying Smith is some all pro I'm saying the drop is beyond severe). |

There should be a dropoff between him and Smith. |
I gave him shit this season but what a ****ing game. Dude was perfect in pass pro and opened up holes for Pacheco and CEH.
|
Absolutely beasted today.
|
He was perfect today
|
Very nice job Jawaan!
|
Show him some ****ing respect
|
He's finally earning his paycheck.
|
Look at all the uncalled false starts on the Bills. It's been OBVIOUS ALL SEASON that he got unfairly singled out after Collinsworth embarrased NFL officiating on national TV week 1...the rest of the year? Commentators made EXCUSES for SHITTY INCORRECT CALLS the rest of the way. Jawan was unfairly targeted this year and it was obvious NFL commentary teams were told to lick Goodells clown crew officials boots after that week 1 fiasco
|
Dude balled out last night. I mean dominated. Looked like an all world right tackle last night WHEN IT MATTERED.
Smith was nails too. |
Man, he was good today. He made some mistakes, but he blocking on screens and in pass-pro for most of the night was awesome.
|
I think that Taylor will be okay. Collinsworth screwed him on opening night and made him a target. He didn't deserve near all of the penalties that he got. But that died down as the year progressed and he improved as well. I don't know that he'll ever live up to the contract that he got. But I don't think that he's going to be the disaster at right tackle that he looked like for a while either. I would say that Smith will be gone and Morris will compete for the start at left tackle with a cheap vet free agent and the left side will be okay as well.

He's been good all season. Just had too many penalties. No lineman is perfect. Occasionally they get beat but He's solid.
|
He was nails again. Today. Literally balled out.
|
I am not an o-line guru by any means, but he seems to me to be good when he isn't getting penalized.
|
He and Smith both deserve immense credit, the whole OL really. I don’t understand how or why things changed, but they aren’t in the Super Bowl had they not improved accordingly.

The only thing that's held them back has been the penalties. Some of those were overblown (including the holding calls on Smith). Nobody ever thinks their OL is good enough but ours is DAMN good, especially when Donovan Smith is healthy. |

I just don't get how the OL as much or more than any other group "flipped the switch".
Was it this crazy intense laser focus players say Mahomes brings to the playoffs rubbing off on the whole unit? I'm not sure what else. Just feels like guys took it up about five notches and boom, all the sudden all our signings look good. |
