I mean I trust Veach.
This guy had a lower PFF grade than Wylie last year though. |

Is he a horrible run blocker or something? |

His stats are based on playing RT not LT. That is a huge transition if that is the plan. Not really a fan of this but have to believe in Veach\Reid.

What is OBJ's ranking in pass protection compared to Taylor's?
|
Guess I should just put these here since I was on the record already.

Didn't Taylor play LT in college?
|
He's going to the Chiefs. Remember, the SB team with Andy Reid and Mahomes?
This dude will be a top 10 LT by season's end and this contract is gonna look like a steal. Book it. Orlando Brown had much bigger questions going from RT to LT and we turned that shit into a SB. |
So he had good pass pro numbers at RT and we're moving him to LT paying 20 mil per? That doesn't add up, I'm missing something.
|
DJ pulls a rabbit out of his ass and now we'll have to hear about it. Yay.

This will work out just fine.
Can't remember when Veach and Reid screwed up the Oline. |

Dude gets to play next to Thuney. He'll be good.

Bring in younger talent and let the chips fall where they may? I'm good with that.

The guy allowed 16 pressures all year. I'm gonna skip the PFF bullshit. All I care about is allowing the least amount of pressures as possible and 16 is a very small amount. Less than 1 pressure a game is damn impressive.
|
Also he just spent a season playing in Doug Pederson’s offense… which should make for an easier transition to Andy Reid’s offense than OBJ coming from Baltimore.

He will do fine and comes cheaper than Brown. They can now draft an RT.

I will trust Veach\Reid on this they know more than I. |
He's super athletic.
Now we get Niang to play RT and we're cooking with gas. |

1 pressure per game? Give me that all ****ing day. |

The shitty thing is that we're probably going to miss out on a comp pick.

Never missed a game either. Love that

So so glad we didn’t use draft picks. I’d have been fine with Tunsil bc he’s elite but I like Taylor and all of our draft pciks.

A lot of times they just don't mean shit. We'll see. He's gonna get the Frank Clark 'just doing his job and it's hot outside' treatment though because he's not OBJ. He's gonna get a TON of rope 'round these parts I suppose. |

He has played exclusively at RT in his career with the Jags
|
While I like many wanted Veach to give everything for a Tunsil trade. Getting an upgrade like Jawwan Taylor over OBJ for Cheaper will be HUGE!
at 6'5 315lbs he is much much more athletic than OBJ and should fit much better. I also LOVE the fact that Taylor has larger hands AND longer arms than OBJ! |
Quote:
He sucked and was a piece of shit less than an hour ago. Now he is ultra-elite and will be a fantastic left tackle. |
We just upgraded a position, and we did it in a cost effective manner.

Scott Pioli said he's fine with the move so it must be a good deal.

But seriously, Brown pissed Veach off. Dumped him for a less hot and less maintenance type. |
Sure changes the #31 pick...if BPA is still a tackle, you can now feel much better about D Jones, Wright, Duncan rotating in with Niang. If any of them turn out to be special, they can be moved to LT in 4 yrs.
