Everyone's snap opinions from the moment we drafted him.

Total ****ing head case, but if his shit is together, he's ****ing a destroyer of worlds on the corner. No memory and is absolutely nasty getting to the ball.

He's better than Waynes.

I would have considered Eric Rowe with the pick as well, but they obviously did their homework and feel that Peters is ready to play ball.

No memory is right.

Got beat, turns around and takes one to the house.

If I was a viking fan I would be pissed off about Ronald Darby and marcus peters

STUD!!!

I was rooting for this pick. When it happened I was psyched. Love this player.

pugsnotdrugs19 12-20-2015 10:48 PM

Peters' was at the top of my want list on draft day, no sh*t.

I didn't want to waste a high pick on a WR2 in this offense, and I didn't want a O Lineman that early.

I knew Smith was likely on the way out after this year, and Peters was my #1 dude right in front of Waynes.

Mother****erJones 12-20-2015 11:34 PM

I knew we needed a top corner and someone with edge for this defense. Peters is this teams MVP this year. I've wanted a ball hawking secondary in the worst way.

Hopefully he can learn to cover better with experience. There's more to being a dominant CB than ints.

He's about to set the franchise record for passes defended, with two games to go...

pugsnotdrugs19 12-20-2015 11:50 PM

At his current rate.....

Top 3 CB by 2017, and maybe even next years end. He will only get better.

His INTs will likely go down though as teams will be afraid to target him.

Coach 12-20-2015 11:51 PM

As long he doesn't turn into another Dale Carter, that'd be great.

Coach 12-20-2015 11:59 PM

Of course, when I mentioned Dale Carter, I remembered he had 7 INT's in his rookie year.

Interceptions by player during rookie season:

1. Bobby Hunt - 8 (1962)
2T. Dale Carter - 7 (1992)
2T. Marcus Peters - 7 (2015)

The problem he has right now is that he's playing off the ball trying to bait the QB into throwing his way so he can break on it for the Int.

He did it a lot in college and got away with it a lot more.

He's got great instincts and no fear in terms of going for the ball. Reads the QB very well. Gets him into trouble sometimes though as he's playing off a little too far and he's been giving up yardage, especially early in the games.

If he learns to play up more effectively, he's going to be truly special.

Of course it helps that he gets thrown at a lot.

That said, he is quickly becoming one of my favorite Chiefs to watch. I was exited about the pick and it is paying dividends faster than I would have thought possible.

penbrook 12-21-2015 12:52 AM

He leads the NFL in passes defensed and is second in the NFL in INTs and has the most INT return yards in the NFL. Not only is he looking at DROTY but he can be in the conversation for defensive player of the year as well!
