he doesnt have the name power to be DPOY sadly, but he is a beast of a corner.

For defensive player of the year? No he's not.

Take off your homer goggles, people.

Marcus Peters will not win DPOY.

-King- 12-21-2015 01:33 AM

He's not going to win DPOY nor should he. He should win DROY though

Yah he's not DPOY. But he DROY. I'll take that

Peters is far from DPOY and has room for much improvement. Some of you might forget he has given up plenty of big plays and TDs. The thing with Peters is he will probably improve and become a shutdown corner and as he improves, he will probably get thrown at much less than now. As such, his INTs number will probably go down quite a bit. That's why I wouldn't be surprised if, as he improves, his impact isn't much greater than it is now, because he's had a huge impact on this defense as a ballhawk and being thrown at a lot this season.

My mistake. I thought he was talking about DROY. He's obviously not in the conversation for DPOY.

Darby is good. Better overall in coverage than Peters so far. But INTs are game changers, so Peters deserves the nod over Darby for DRoY.

That's actually a good comparison, IMO. Hey, Carter was very good for the Chiefs for several years. He was considered one of the best (if not THE best) CB in the league about 5 years into his career.

I feel like when offenses start avoiding Peters we will see Eric Berry get more picks in the future. I like that idea.

Hopefully he can learn to cover better with experience. There's more to being a dominant CB than ints.

He needs to be more like Hasty than Carter. As I said multiple times he doesn't have the speed or physical dimensions like Carter during his playing days.

When Houston comes back healthy, he'll take advantage of Poe's reemergence as an elite passrusher at the NT position.

Nobody in the current NFL will ever be James Hasty again, even if you reincarnated James Hasty. They have outlawed the way he used to play.
