Furthermore, there is a rule is that no league can have more than 2 teams in the BCS. So it is not possible for OU/MU/KU to have received bids regardless of Ill's fate.

Jeff Withey will play in the NBA for ten years. He puts up great numbers for the time he's in and he's a rookie. Maybe you don't know how this NBA thing works. Kim English won't play. Jeff Withey will. When you play 7 minutes and in that 7 minutes get 2 rebounds, 3 points, a steal and an assist you get more minutes and you don't get cut.

That's how it works. If you're 7 feet tall, can block shots and make free throws and get rebounds and make smart passes you will come off the bench in the NBA.

Withey is a stiff and will be around for a while. He won't be good, but he is tall.

I don't think that rule was in effect in 2007-08.

What's Kim English's ability to play in the league have to do with his assessment that Withey can't? He's right - Withey isn't an NBA basketball player.

And right now English has about 400 career NBA minutes on his ledger. Jeff Withey, through 14 team games, has 43. So at this pace Jeff Withey will have to be on an NBA roster for 130 games.

That could happen, but I wouldn't put an appreciable amount of money on it.

The Big 10 champ has gone to the Rose Bowl since the 40s. Anybody with a basic understanding of college football knows this. The only change that has ever been made to this was with the berth of the BCS, where the 2nd best team in the Big 10 is contractually tied to the Rose Bowl unless a 'higher ranking' bowl takes that team first, at which time the tie-in with the Big 10 is gone outright. (This has happened once)
