This is why I love Dorsey. He gets it. Ok I don't pick till 18? Still going to get a top 10 talent.

You love Dorsey because he picked a guy who never played a down in the NFL? ROFL

Dude, shut your one who sucks the penis.

At least doctor up some graphs or cherry pick some stats. Your trolling is weak and ineffective. "We haven't won a playoff game in 20 years so every move we make sucks!!11!!!" It's annoying, not even engaging.

My trolling? I'm not ****ing trolling. How in the **** are you gonna say "this is why I love Dorsey"? Marcus Peters hasn't played one down with the BIG BOYS and he's already insinuating he's a beast lmao

Top 10 talent? Why did he go 18? I guess everybody we draft in the first round is top 10 talent. Dee Ford top 10 talent too, I guess.

Wow.

That's better than any highlight reel you could watch of him. Brandon Cooks was my pick from last year, and Peters did him dirty a few times there.

The guy play like an NFL DB already. At the very least he should be a competent starter.

One thing i did notice though....just nitpicking....While he's an aggressive willing tackler, he's not a GOOD tackler. He doesn't wrap up particularly well. On a few plays, the WR was able to wiggle loose for a big gain after Peters had him dead in his tracks but couldn't seal the deal.

Dude is a baller though. I said it when we drafted him, this video just confirms it.

An NFL general manager told USA Today that based strictly on film, Peters is the top cornerback available in the draft.

"If you're going to take him, you better make sure you do your homework and feel comfortable with everything," the GM said. "But talent-wise? He's a first-round talent. I don't know if he's a top-10, but there's not a lot of great corners in this draft either."

A little snippet I just came across. Let me guess, this GM is a moron too right? I should always trust the fine folks at CP.

Not a lot of CB in this draft to begin with. No competition out there. I love Dorsey too.

Peters allows his mechanics to break down and get sloppy, but he has the size, athleticism and cover skills to be a No. 1 corner at the next level who does his best work in press - top-15 overall talent with a high NFL ceiling, but the reward won't be worth the risk for several evaluators who will remove him from their draft board.

As many predicted, Michigan State's Trae Waynes became the first corner off the board when the Minnesota Vikings took him at No. 11. Seven slots later, the Chiefs all but stole a potential top-10 talent in Marcus Peters—the Washington product with red flags off the field but plenty of promise on it.

Quote:

ANALYSIS: There’s no question that Marcus Peters is one of the top defensive prospects in this class and he’s now headed to KC. He’s a ball hawking cornerback that is physical and versatile. When he played Peters was a super talent on the Huskies defense. Peters had 48 third down stops and five on fourth down against the pass. He also showed the ability to reroute wide receivers almost 44% of the time. Peters finished with 129 tackles, deflected 25 passes, and had 11 interceptions. This is an explosive cornerback with good size (6-0/197). He can flip his hips, turn and run with anyone. Peters has a quick burst, is terrific in the air and is not afraid in run support. He also had anger issues and was kicked off the Washington team last fall because of arguing with the Huskie coaching staff. If his head’s on straight then the Chiefs just landed a top-10 talent at the No. 18 spot.

Looks like Kiper was thinking the same thing you were. And Gruden loves this kid says he is the best cb in the draft and it isn't even close. If he goes to a good team that has good leadership he will be a steal. He also said if he didn't have the off the field stuff he would of been a top 10 talent.

Why am I anti-chief? Go read my thread after we drafted Peters you ****ing idiot. I loved the pick, but I'm not going to claim he's top talent nor will I say "I love Dorsey". As far as I'm concerned we released Bowe and picked up Maclin. I don't see how this team improved and I'm certainly not getting my hopes up for Chris Conley lol. He was a 3rd round WR for ****s sake, the last thing I'm going to do is give Dorsey credit before these rookies even play.

How many downs had Andrew Luck* played when he was drafted, again?

'Never played a down in the NFL' just might set an all time record for reerun level in the critique of a draft pick.

Listen everyone.....Peters looks like a hell of a player on film in college. I'm sure with time he will be a great player but give the kid time to get comfortable. I'm afraid that if he has a rough start, all you guys will be trashing the kid because he was drafted in the first round. He is still a rookie, has to learn to play at this level and needs to mature as a competitor. My only concerns about him are 1) he is slow for a CB. If an NFL receiver, not college, gets past him, he will be toast and 2) you can clearly see on film that he is a hot head. One may say it is enthusiasm but I saw several times where he lost his composure. It is great that he is aggressive and competitive but he will need to figure out how to temper his emotions and also how to adjust his coverage of the really fast receivers. I think the pre-season will tell us a lot.

He's not molasses like you're making him out to be. He's not going to be covering the other team's speedster most of the time, and if he does, he's a press corner. That's what he was brought in to do.

Sean Smith plays just as slow on the field. Just watch him. He rarely ever gets burned.

Sean Smith plays just as slow on the field. Just watch him. He rarely ever gets burned.

You're being a drama queen about his speed.

I already said he is a hell of a player but these are my concerns. This is what I see. I'm sure he will adjust to the speed of the game with time. After all, he was drafted in the first for a reason....to be a superstar.

Top 10 talent because scout said so.

I ****ing hate these idiots.

Who specifically do you see doing both of these things?

I don't call roll, I deal in generalities.

I do not believe this word means what you think it means.

You decided you wanted to put energy into making a shtick on a message board. To each their own. Just don't be surprised when people who want content get tired of your posts.

You very rarely actually support your argument with anything. You just go on and on about the fan base like none of us see it either. The fan base is what it is. Get the **** over it for your own sake. You build it up like Chiefsplanet is all homers so you can feel like you are some shinning light waking us up.

Same thing when you tried twisting Pestilence's words around or the poster who said that Peters is top 10 talent. It's pretty widely held around draft and scout circles that he was a top 10 talent with draft issues. Whether he pans out is irrelevant to that point. Liking a GM's willingness to take a risk on talent in a value spot is no evidence of blind homerism. What he does on the field has nothing to do with liking the talent taken at a position.

I'm just saying, this fan base gets carried away. I'm not the one saying "I love Dorsey" because he drafted a player that has tons of question marks. Not sure why I'm getting a shit ton of flack, I'm actually trying to prevent meltdowns.

Jesus Crimeny the Alex Bashing is getting old. It's almost every ****ing thread. We get it, some of you don't like him. Point made. Move the **** on.

I get that he's not great, but it could be a lot worse. I'm all for voicing your opinion, but when every ****ing thread ends in the same topic, it's gets annoying. Some of the posters have jumped the shark with their incessant beating of a dead horse. We're all well aware some despise him. The point has been made ad nauseum. They need a new schtick and hit the shuffle button once in a while.

Classic CP. Ignore the disease and treat the symptom.

Been this way as long as I can remember.

Alex Smith sucks more than Jaelen Strong.

Which is a lot.

How often does "average" win Super Bowls? Go ahead say Brad Johnson. 1 QB out of how many?
