I think everything comes together, Chris Jones goes off in his FA showcase. Mahomes is on point and McDuffie goes for a pick 6.
Chiefs 31 Niners 13 and it's not even that close as I think the Niners TD is a 4th quarter garbage time score. |
It’s been a pleasure serving besides you gentlemen on the frontlines of the NFL fan message boards.
Let’s give them hell. *salutes* |

In Spags We Trust
I bought the T-shirt, but it’s delayed, dangit. Hoping fervent prayer has the same metaphysical effect. Go Chiefs |

Get in Brocks face, Sneed shuts down Deebo and hit McCaffrey hard over and over again. We can do this and take it home again. Run P-Dawg up their ass all day. He will punish them.
|
Just take away the middle of the field and the flat vs Brock and he is ****ed. Make him throw outside. Going to be a big game for Sneed to show the world who the **** he is.

It's been like the longest 2 weeks ever.

gotta tackle.
cannot let McCaffrey get going getting a lead would be huge. might even think about receiving if we win the toss |
This piece on Jimmy the Greek is fascinating stuff
|
I just went to the grocery store to get some supplies for the game. Denver is a Chiefs town now. I saw a bunch of people wearing Chiefs stuff and not a single person wearing stuff from whatever that other team is.

Let's GO!!!

Apparently we have one of the worse defenses against zone, their bread and butter. But their run D is also terrible. I think if we run it well we win it handily, because we'll adjust the D in the 2nd half. But it's going to be unpleasant viewing at times and I think at half time my nerves will be shredded.
Man I would love an early lead and a defensive masterclass. Every pundit has.picked us that I can see. Not sure that makes me more confident |
Just checked and Gabe Davis is still out for todays game

ESPN crew all picked the Chiefs to win except for Sam Ponder. Alex Smith, Randy Moss, Rex Ryan, Larry Fitzgerald, and Tedy Bruschi all on the Chiefs side.

A healthy Mahomes in the Super Bowl is going to rock the NFL's foundations. Most fans have no idea what they're about to see.

Plus, I legitimately think we match up against the 9ers well. A lot of things have to go their way for them to win. Only a couple of things have to go our way for us to win. |

A few Super Bowl stats for you going into today's game.
Top ten career passing yards. 1 Tom Brady 3039 (tainted by cheating) 2 Kurt Warner 1156 3 Joe Montana 1142 4 John Elway 1128 (tainted by cheating) 5 Peyton Manning 1001 6 Terry Bradshaw 932 7 Jim Kelly 829 8 Patrick Mahomes II 738 9 Roger Staubach 734 10 Troy Aikman 689 A 300-yard game will put Patrick into 5th place (3rd among non-cheaters), and a 400-yard game will put Patrick into 4th (3rd among non-cheaters). |
o/u on Romo saying “Jimmy’s and Joe’s” currently sitting at 12
|
Top ten career Super Bowl receiving yards:
1 Jerry Rice 589 2 Rob Gronkowski 364 (tainted by cheating) 3 Lynn Swann 364 4 Julian Edelman 337 (tainted by cheating) 5 Andre Reed 323 6 Deion Branch 321 (tainted by cheating) 7 Danny Amendola 278 (tainted by cheating) 8 John Stallworth 268 9 Travis Kelce 257 10 Michael Irvin 256 A 100-yard game by Travis will move him to 4th all time, and 110 yards will move him to 2nd. |

Top ten Super Bowl career rushing yards.
1 Franco Harris 354 2 Larry Csonka 297 3 Emmitt Smith 289 4 Terrell Davis 259 (tainted by cheating) 5 John Riggins 230 6 Timmy Smith 204 7 Thurman Thomas 204 (tainted by being a jerk) 8 Roger Craig 198 9 Marcus Allen 191 10 Antowain Smith 175 (tainted by cheating) Mahomes is 33rd with 106, Pacheco is 53rd with 76, and Clyde is 65th with 64. So Mahomes could potentially move into the top ten with 70 yards, and Pacheco just needs a 100-yard game. Clyde also has a shot and needs only 112 to move into the all-time top ten. |
Interesting stat about Purdy being #1 against the blitz, wouldn't have guessed that

Let's hope he spends a lot of time kicking extra points today, but field goals are still very good. |

Not long ago Lamar was statistically top of the league, or near the top of the league vs. pressure, lol. But I actually think Purdy is going to be a really good QB. He’s already better than Lamar in a lot of ways. |
