Veach is still a genius though for the record. |

Brown has reliable hands and he's still a deep threat while making less. I mean, that's better in every way. Eat it haters. Once more, into the Veach... |

Why do people care about numbers so much. Hollywood's biggest impact will be the space he creates for Rice and Kelce. But I ain't talking about no MVS decoy. He'll still produce too, but I bet people end up being "disappointed" in Brown while not realizing he'll be a big part of returning us to the best offense in the league.

Now go get Mike Williams and then draft a WR in R2. Use Sneed and #32 to trade up in the 1st Rd. for a LT.
WR group for 2024: 1. Rice 2. Hollywood 3. Williams 4. R2 Rookie 5. Watson 6. Toney (He has more raw talent than anyone on the roster and can be the punt returner) An offense like that with Kelce, Smith, and Gray at TE plus Pacheco at RB would wreck opposing defenses. |

I keep thinking of cooks as an example. Dude had a solidly productive year last year but a gambler or fantasy guy might complain about the times he finished games with 3 catches for 20 yards. |
Can we still keep Sneed?
|
Great signing! The league is in deep shit again this year
May as well engrave the Lombardi now. |

There's a dipshit here on the board that loves to talk about 'decoy' as a negative, but the reality is that Brown forces a defense to respect and fear the full length of the field, which makes bigger holes for Kelce and Rice. If you focus on stopping Kelce and Rice, Brown will eat you alive. If you sit back in two deep, Kelce and Rice will eat you alive. Few teams will have the secondary talent to stop all three. But there will be slow games for each of the three, just depending on what the defense chose to focus on week to week. |

I like it. Now in the draft let's go get a couple more, a TE, and some OL.
|
He gonna feast.
Never in my wildest dreams did I believe we would get him on a one yeat deal this cheap. |

I wouldn’t mind signing Sneed to a 3ish year deal if it’s team friends. Well I wouldn’t mind it in the sense it would give me a massive boner. |

I love Sneed, but I still think moving him for a #2 or better is the best move long term.

$7M is exactly what we should be paying for the production we're going to get from the 3rd option, and we're not hitched to the guy beyond this year. Are there guys I would have preferred? Sure. But at this price and term, all props to Veach. |

I'm hopeful that the later season stuff of simplifying things a bit help the staff figure out that maybe the spot adjustments and such are difficult for young guys and they need their hand held a bit.
|
Dang good signing with value.
Boner engaged! |
That's a lot less money than I expected.
|
Wow, this is literally amazing. I thought a WR signing would cement the trade of Sneed, but now this opens the door to pay him I think AND creates draft flexibility.
You can go into 2024 with Brown/Rice/a round 1-3 receiver/Watson/Moore/whoever and then make a decision in 2025 about a veteran depending on how the rookie develops, how Brown does, if Rice develops any further, if Kelce retires etc. |

I think there is a non-zero chance we offer him a deal after the season if he's a good fit, but he's going after a bag. If he can manage to stick a few years, I'm fine with that too. Plenty of room for a rookie also. |

Maybe I’m too much of an optimist. But I think our rebuild will feel as “difficult” and quick as the one that got us a Super Bowl two years ago. Teams like the chargers and bills are in cap hell because they spent years and years and years racking up debt because they were desperate to put the team over the top.
No matter what when kelce and jones decline or go away we’ll need a bit of a reset. That is when good teams take 1-2 years to stockpile picks and reload for the next one. That was really the biggest key to new englands success. Frequent resets. Even signing Snead we are being aggressive yet smart. |
I really like this signing. This is why we love Veach.
