I mean Jalen Carter looked pretty damn good. They just look like they got old.

Meh. The antics are from that mentality a lot of elite WRs have of wanting to be the focal point of the offense. A bit of that competitiveness can actually be healthy if kept relatively in check, and I wouldn't expect a douche **** like Sirianni to know how to handle it.

After being accused of being the ringleader of locker room drama then staying mysteriously silent for weeks only to come out with canned statements after his reputation was getting dragged . There is a lot of smoke behind brown being the main catalyst and a few nice words to the media and leading a few demonstrative private team meetings doesn’t chance that.

He was at hurts’ throat all season even when they were winning. And yeah, his wiping out his social media before a damn playoff game knowing full well the message it sends doesn’t read as being uninvolved in any of this.

Where's all this "smoke" at...who's accused him of being the drama ringleader?

It sounds like you're making shit up for some bizarre reason to paint Brown in a negative light...

Nick Sirianni is the catalyst for all the Eagles' problems, period.

Sassy Squatch 01-16-2024 08:51 AM

I've seen him get upset at Hurts and Sirianni for not getting the ball enough at points.

Gravedigger 01-16-2024 08:54 AM

I think you'd have to go to Vrabel and ask him how Brown was in Tennessee. He was the only #1 there outside of a broken Julio Jones, so I'm sure Vrabel would give you good insight as to what it was like with Brown there.

What an asshole. A real troublemaker in the locker room, this guy.

Brown was the Eagles' "voice of reason this week," per Jay Glazer, apologizing to teammates for failing to publicly answer questions about the club's 1-4 stretch, then calling for players to "bond together" and "start believing in our coaches." His reported rallying cry comes amid increased scrutiny of the Eagles' staff, including head coach Nick Sirianni, first-year offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and recently appointed defensive play-caller Matt Patricia.

I mean cmon…
You left out the part about this being an apology tour for being noticeably non-responsive as the eagles were struggling. And then doubling down on demonstrative “good teammate” shit after being specifically singled out by a Philly beat writer then trying to pick social media fights. And it’s not like it’s out of left field. He’s been picking fights with hurts, griping about targets, and subtly digging at his coaches with these short gruff responses (which can be easily read into).

His behaviors been strange all season long and maybe that’s justified. But without a doubt the dudes been intentionally dramatic.

This is chiefzillas M.O. when it comes to wide receivers. He did the same with OBJ, D.K. , and Pickens. Nothing scares him like a WR having a shred of personality or ego even though they all do and Reid has proven capable of handling big personalities.

I'd say that video from the Titans' draft room when they traded Brown and Vrabel's subsequent reaction tells you all you need to know...

Problem is, he ain't gonna be the focal point of the offense here.

He's also traded and or released them though.

He can handle it, but it's also why I don't really get the criticism for the Pickens thing. If Andy and co. can handle it, yet said "nah, no thanks" that probably says something.

Direckshun 01-16-2024 09:05 AM

AJ Brown needs to be on our radar, right? Weren't the Chiefs in on him last time he was available?

He'd be a perfect compliment to Rashee Rice. Then you use your draft to add another TE and stack that DT room.

Exactamundo.

O.city 01-16-2024 09:06 AM

For sure, they should look into it. I would imagine they will, would depend on compensation.

I doubt they'd move a 1 for him.

BleedingRed 01-16-2024 09:07 AM

Mike........ Evans........ Please

Sofa King 01-16-2024 09:07 AM

AJ Brown has massive cap hits if traded. The Eagles would lose significant cap this year and next. So that's not happening.
