He can handle it, but it's also why I don't really get the criticism for the Pickens thing. If Andy and co. can handle it, yet said "nah, no thanks" that probably says something.

Pickens is way worse than any of the others listed. LMAO His own teammates want him out of the locker room and Tomlin all but said he'd like to bench him but can't because the talent level in the rest of the room is so low.

Seeing Rice's emergence and development....I think you can sign a mid tier vet and draft a guy and be ok.

But I'm always open for big expensive moves too.

If we can get him for a lower draft pick in exchange for eating some of that money I'd try and work that out.

The more I look at it, I just don't think the Chiefs are really at a point where they can do that. The defense is gonna need alot of TLC again and they need offensive weapons.

Sassy Squatch 01-16-2024 09:12 AM

LMAO Yeah they can't trade for a guy that has *checks notes* a 1 million base salary in 2024

O.city 01-16-2024 09:16 AM

They don't have alot of picks and trading a high pick for an expensive guy is probably tough.

A shred of personality or ego? These aren’t big tyreek personalities who are cocky or self centered. These are locker rooms that completely imploded and at least some debate about the WRs personality playing a role in that

- never said anything about DK
- I called Pickens a diva because he is a diva. who throws sideline tantrums, criticizes coaches, takes off plays and blocks, and refuses to run certain routes
- Kevin stefanski and baker mayfield for all their limitations have only had one season where they had anything remotely resembling locker room issues. Yet we were so quick to jump on objs side because he’s charming and fun to watch, nevermind his history of being self centered. This was a total locker room collapse that took years and lots of big moves to fix.

Still a lot to be seen over who’s to blame in all of this. But this isn’t Travis slamming a helmet down or mahomes shaking his head at a WR. This is a locker room that is completely obliterated. And while lots of people likely play a role in it of course a big arrow is gonna point to the wr known for having a very big personality

3 years 45 million is an incredible bargain for an elite WR like Brown. If he forces the issue and drives the draft compensation down as well all the better.

Once you trade for him, you think he's gonna play on that "bargain" deal very long?

Sassy Squatch 01-16-2024 09:23 AM

LMAO If you can't see the locker room imploded because of the mid season shift to Patricia and the overall incompetence of the offensive staff you're bird boxing it.

Offer to convert that back loaded 2026 number into a decent signing bonus for him and call it square. If he really wants out he'd probably take that

If the Eagles are being picked over....Goeddert would be one I'd be interested in.

Once Jefferson and company get paid, he's gonna want a new deal to get closet to them.

Ok, so I know you’re not a fan of Nagy and embree and would call our offensive staff incompetent at many points. Does that give kelce the right to use his leadership and loud vocal presence to stage a mutiny or to gripe about targets after a win or jab at coaches for shortcomings? Maybe it’s more that aj is so competitive that he can’t handle adversity but this year was a really bad look for him regardless of whether or not the coaching staff was competent.

kcgreene 01-16-2024 09:34 AM

I think AJ is gonna be really costly long term. Personally, I have my eyes on Pittman if he makes it to market. Athletically he's not the most gifted, so he'll probably be undervalued, but his production is great for the QBs he's had in that offense. I could definitely see him being a 1200-1400 yard guy in our offense, and he DEFINITELY would have a much cheaper price tag than a lot of these options, plus he's still young, so we don't risk hitting an age wall like we would with Mike Evans or someone of his age range.
