Move on.

Veach sure hoped he could.

"First and foremost, I'd like to thank Drew Rosenhaus and his team as well as my staff for coming together to get this deal done," General Manager Brett Veach said. "Jawaan is a tough, athletic player that can play either side and gives us versatility along the line. He has four years under his belt in this league and has continued to show steady growth and improvement each season. We're happy to have him joining our offensive line room."

Yeah in hindsight a bit of a reach to think they could replicate the OJB move to the left side. Basically overpaid for an average at best RT.

Get something competitive on the left and he'll probably be better on the right as they could game plan help more to that side if needed at TE or RB out of the backfield. Right now it is the Autobahn one side...stop and go traffic and penalties on the other.

Never liked the contract and never thought he was a LT or even that decent a RT, but man there weren't many options at the time.

Jawaan was solid this game. He blocked anybody not named Maxx Crosby really well.

He lost to Crosby badly a few times unfortunately. Crosby is the 2nd best pass rusher in football IMO

Jawaan Is an above average RT who can have poor games, average games where he gives away a penalty and some pressures. Then every now amd then he'll have a very good game. The guy has held his own on the biggest stages so I'm not gonna panic about him. Hopefully DJ can come in and settle down everyone on the line..

He's being paid around 20 mil/year to not know how to line up? Get your ass up on the line!

No shit. Move up literally just two inches and stop getting called for penalties they're looking specifically at you for.

This is just what you get when you can’t find tackles in the draft. You have to overpay for free agents, because no team lets their drafted OTs walk unless they’re deemed expendable. That leads to dudes like Taylor going out there and landing 80 million, while franchises like the Packers are finding guys like Rasheed Walker (7th round) and Zach Tom (5th round) and Love is writing poetry back there he has so much time. It’s so damn frustrating.

Injury watch?

Didn't catch what happened but saw Wanya getting snaps at RT

staylor26 12-21-2024 03:16 PM

It was a knee, something he has been dealing with I believe. Hopefully they were just being cautious.

RunKC 12-21-2024 03:47 PM

I didn’t even realize Wanya was in watching it live. Probably bc my ****ing heart stopped twice when Worthy and Chris went down momentarily. Glad they’re okay

Morris looked good when he stepped in today

Gary Cooper 12-21-2024 03:51 PM

Hope he's ready for next week because if Thuney plays LT and Morris plays RT, there's only so much help you can provide against the pass rush on both sides.

Seemed like he was every bit as good as Taylor.

Humphries is supposedly back next week, Thuney goes back to G

Lets hope Morris takes RT and runs away with it
