Yep, he has been very solid in Minnesota.

But you have the usual dumbshits here who think that Wanya and Kingsley are better options next year at LT.

I reeeeeally don't want to blow a top 5 LT contract on Cam Robinson, man. And I worry that some team is gong to offer him exactly that.

I know it's Mahomes and he needs protection, but the Chiefs are infinitely better off if they can get Kingsley to not suck. And in spite of what some posters claim, there are actually plenty of examples of raw OTs who looked like chumps as rookies but eventually turned into pretty good players.

I'm not saying Kingsley will be a better player than Robinson next year, but is the payoff from the risk worth it? I absolutely think it is.

From what I am hearing. Morris had a knee injury all year..which would explain a lot.

But the real worry. How the **** couldn't kinglsey beat a injured player out in practice.

Because you don't shuffle your OL midseason based on practices. Nobody does that. Injuries? Obviously yes. Are they getting the QB killed in games? Then yeah, go with somebody else. But you don't make the switch just because you like what you see at practice.

If the 'payoff' is retaining Bolton or Smith, I don't think it's worth the risk.

Especially when Morris can be as good at OG as Smith, IMO. And Robinson would free him up for that move. And Kingsley could probably take over for Taylor in 2026.

It's not THAT big of a reward for a pretty massive risk, IMO.

Wanya looked pretty damn good today at RT. Almost like he played on the right side in college and feels more comfortable there.

That might be something to look at

They're going to keep Bolton or Smith anyway.

If they unsuck Kingsley in the offseason and he slowly keeps getting better and better over the next year or two, we not only saved cap cash for 3 years, but we can also secure somebody we trust to a longterm deal instead of hoping we don't get gouged by a dipshit n00b agent representing a greedy asshole who likes shoving foxtails up his ass

At this point I’m not against signing Donovan Smith just in case and have him take these next few weeks to get reacclimated. Essentially asking Humphries to get healthy and up to speed, might as well bring in another body who knows the system.

Speaking of OBJ, is he playing today or is he still playing with said foxtail over on the sidelines?

Wanya Morris at RT yesterday: https://x.com/Jacobs71/status/1870835739870507142

Looks like a different player. Pretty wild how much more smooth and confident his maneuvers appear. I know Jawaan is better, but we could get by with Wanya playing like this on Wednesday.

If the Chiefs wanted to sign Smith, they would have. He's not coming back.

Have to agree that Wanya looked way better on the right side. He looked completely comfortably over there. I hope he starts at Pittsburgh to get more of a look at him. Get a look at him at RT in in Denver too.

Getting a decent RT long term in the 3rd rd would be a huge hit for us

RunKC 12-22-2024 10:09 AM

Jeff Allen said Wanya looks like a natural RT. Hmmm

wazu 12-22-2024 10:21 AM

I was at the game so missed what happened here. Was Taylor injured?
