They do, but I hope they help him against Watt and don't leave him on an island like Reid would do with Morris at LT.

We’ll see how Wayna holds up after teams get tape on him on the right side. Remember, Niang, Wayna and even Kingsley had strong first starts until tape of their weaknesses got out.

But if Wayna holds strong? You have to at least think about putting Jawaan at the left side to open up our cap for other contracts. I have a feeling Spags is going to campaign heavily to resign Bolton, but if we could lock up McDuffie, too? Going with Jawaan at LT over Cam Robinson opens up possibilities like that.

Taylor is not an LT. And never has been. I don't know how some folks think an average RT would suddenly transform into a good LT when he has no experience there? Makes little sense.

If Wanya continues looking solid at RT then I think you have to consider starting him there next year and telling Jawaan to get ready to play LT in 2025.

Here we go again. Folks want to move an average RT with no LT experience to Pat's blindside because he'd OBVIOUSLY turn into Trent Williams overnight

To be fair he did play some LT in college. So you can’t say no experience.

The thought of him at LT is because he has more of a LT game than that of a RT.

Chief Pagan 12-22-2024 02:10 PM

If you take into account his penalties, calling him average is probably fair. But otherwise, isn't his pass blocking usually pretty good?

Nobody is asking/expecting Trent Williams. If his pass blocking on the left isn't much worse than the right, then that might be a good option given who KC has under contract for one year.

Yes, it is an unknown how well he would transition if he had a full off season to commit to doing it.

Maybe DJ will be an option next year, but that isn't a given either. Maybe BV makes a big move to bring in another LT.

If Wanya plays well against Watt then you keep him out there

No he didn't. Orlando Brown, Morris and Kingsley did. Taylor has no record of playing regularly at LT at any level.

You’re wanting to be so right in your response that you didn’t even read what I wrote. He played SOME LT in COLLEGE. I did not say anything about the NFL

Take it up with Andy/Veach/whoever was there at the press conference announcing the Taylor signing and said they'd try him out on both sides.

If KC felt he could be competent at LT they would have tried him there in training camp, preseason games etc. But that hasn't been the case and the fact that they trust Thuney out there before him paints a clear picture to me. Folks moan about him at RT but would be comfortable putting him on Pat's BLINDSIDE with no experience? smh it's utterly crazy imo

Google tool can be a real friend for you. But ignorance can also be bliss. And talking in absolutes will always catch up to you

I was talking about college. When did he play LT in college? I've seen no record of that.

Easy 6 12-22-2024 02:21 PM

All of the talk about Taylor to LT makes for interesting speculation... but what if Humphries steps back in and performs admirably the rest of the way?
