I was told there’d be no math…
|
By December 2026, we might be able to add Xworthy to this list.
|
Flipper Anderson was pretty good.
As far as Chiefs go, I still have hope for Snoop Minnis. |
1. Jerry Rice
2. Randy Moss 3. Terrell Owens 4. Larry Fitzgerald Crazy stat, Larry Fitzgerald has more tackles than dropped passes. That means over a 17-season career, catching 1,432 passes, he dropped fewer than 30 balls. Larry also had roughly 22 different QBs in his career: 1. Kurt Warner (2005–2009) • Hall of Famer; led Fitz to a Super Bowl. 2. Carson Palmer (2013–2017) • Second most productive QB-WR combo for Fitzgerald. 3. Josh McCown (2004) • Fitzgerald’s rookie year starter. 4. Matt Leinart (2006–2010) • Heisman winner, underwhelming pro career. 5. Kevin Kolb (2011–2012) • Injury-prone stint after trade from Eagles. 6. Drew Stanton (2014–2017) • Reliable backup during Palmer era. 7. John Skelton (2010–2012) • Unexpected starter during chaotic QB years. 8. Derek Anderson (2010) • Former Pro Bowler with Browns. 9. Ryan Lindley (2012, 2014) • Struggled statistically, but started multiple games. 10. Max Hall (2010) • Undrafted rookie who started 3 games. 11. Blaine Gabbert (2017) • Filled in post-Palmer injury. 12. Sam Bradford (2018) • Short-lived starter; benched after 3 games. 13. Josh Rosen (2018) • First-round pick, one season in Arizona. 14. Kyler Murray (2019–2020) • Fitzgerald’s final QB. ⸻ Additional QBs Who Started Games and Likely Threw to Fitz 15. Brian St. Pierre (2010) 16. Shaun King (2004) 17. Jeff Blake (2004) 18. Chris Redman (practice squad era) 19. Rich Bartel (2011) 20. Logan Thomas (2014) 21. Charlie Whitehurst (2016) 22. Mike Glennon (2017, backup, threw in-game passes) |

Megatron is the obvious one. Could pick up Larry Fitzgerald in the slot- he's not a dumbass like Owens is.
|
Rice is universally regarded as the best with Moss regarded by most as #2.
After that, there's little to no consensus. Owens, Megatron, Fitzgerald, with some old schoolers like Hutson and Largent being mentioned. |
Carlos Carson.
Stephon Paige. Henry Marshall. Robb Thomas. |
Isaac the Bruce
Tim Brown Tony G Marvin & Reggie Steve Smith Chris Carter |
I’d still put Otis Taylor over Tyreek as best WR in Chiefs history.

Sylvester Morris had that one breakout game against San Diego and then the injury happened and he was never the same. I always think what could have been.
If he hadn’t gotten injured and built upon the initial success he was having, can you imagine the Vermeil offense with the addition of a top 20 starting WR? |
Jason Avant. He catches everything.

I love that Owens gets so much praise now...when during his playing days so many hates him...writers didn't even make him a first ballot hofer because they didn't like him.

Largent
Welker Edelman Kupp McCaffery |
Brian Shay

Tyreek lmao
Ja'Marr Chase has a better chance than Hill |

I'm fine with a lot of them, but some are way off, as follows: Buffalo - James Lofton is better than Andre Reed with only minor debate. Chicago - I have no idea who Harlon Hill is, but I can't think of anyone better. Most people say Willie Gault. It might even be George Halas. No one cares until they get an actual good one. Cincinnati - I'd lean Isaac Curtis over Chad JOHNSON. I'm open to debate. Cleveland - Ozzie Newsome isn't even a wide receiver. Come on. If we're talking wide receivers, it would be ... umm ... it would be ... has Cleveland ever had a good wide receiver? I guess Paul Warfield, but it's not like he's known as a Brown. Green Bay - Listing Donald Driver over Don Hutson is so bad that it destroys their whole graphic. I'm not sure Donald Driver is even second if you consider Sterling Sharpe. Indianapolis - A good argument can be made for Raymond Berry here, but I can't criticize Marvin Harrison too much. Las Oakland - Tim Brown is so overrated. The answer here is Cliff Branch. And don't throw that stupid stickied-up Biletnikoff in my face. He's not in the discussion. New England - Get that shrimpy Edelman joker off the list and put a real wide receiver on. Stanley Morgan is the answer here. Philadelphia - A.J. Brown? Did a 14 year-old make this list? Look up Mike Quick and change your answer. And one could argue for Desean Jackson or even Harold Carmichael over Brown. That's a lazy answer. Pittsburgh - No, not Antonio Brown. John Stalworth. But Brown, Swann, and Hines Ward are close enough to quibble about. Tennessee - Derrick Mason doesn't cut it. Go with one of the Run and Shoot guys. I lean toward Earnest Givins, but I would accept Haywood Jeffires as an answer as well. Washington - Meh, Art Monk. Longevity award. The real answer is Charley Taylor. It's kind of shocking to see how many franchises have never had a franchise receiver. Chicago, Cleveland, NY Giants, and New Orleans have embarrassing answers to this question. |
Larry Fitzgerald, Jimmy Smith and Megatron.

80, Moss, Calvin, and Fitzy. After that it gets harder.
I’d probably have to go with TO at that point. Then Marvin Harrison maybe, Largent, then cris carter. Then maybe Herman Moore? Probably a little bit of a stretch. |

Researchers reconstructed 1920s stats from newspaper articles and Lambeau, as a player, was a top five passer. He continued that trend as a coach. Herber and Isbell were solid passers. Herber was elite for his time, actually. It was a perfect combination of an elite player married to a smart coach and a great deep ball passer (Herber). |

Branch had Stabler and Plunkett. Unless they are counting Huston as an end - Green Bay's choice is a farce. Driver was good but Sterling Sharpe was far superior. His injury cost Green Bay a chance at multiple Super Bowls with Favre. And honestly I would pick Hirsch or Fears for the Rams. The early 1950s Rams had a lethal offense. The 1950 Rams still own the record for most PPG in a NFL history: 38.8. The 1950 Rams hold the NFL's all-time record for average points per game, scoring 38.8 points per contest.[1] They also hold the record for most points in a three-game span, with 165 points between October 15 and 29.[2] They are the only team in modern NFL history to score 60-or-more points twice in a season. They did so in consecutive games, in Weeks Six (70) and Seven (65). |
