Over used football Cliches
 

I was listening to some random sports radio show while I was out on the road the other day. And listening to them made me want to ICE PICK my ears....

They kept saying "at the end of the day" "this guy has the IT factor" "trap game" etc....


What are some of the other over used bullshit clichés you read here or are said over and over and over and over on the sports talk shows/TV?

"matriculating our way down the field"

Keep on' hatin'.

The momentum has shifted.

White guys = scrappy + high motor
Black guys = athletic + talented

Cannon for an arm.

I know of one that won't be used anymore.

"First down, Ray Rice"

rebound game. Over used in all sports...

The defense really needs to get a stop here

The offense needs to put some points on the board

Well not unless they televise the game against the prison guards

Penetration

What can it hurt to bring him in and check the tires out

So true, it always makes me say "Thank you captain obvious". Or after someone breaks numerous tackles, the commentators say "You know, a big key to this game is making sure you tackle".

Here is a good one that is used here....

"there isn't a QB worth a first round pick"

So in so turd player just HAS to be better than what they have.
