I need some advice. My friend gave me his ps3 that has the yellow light of death. I wana call Sony to get it fixed. Is there any place besides Sony that will fix it? I wanted to call Sony and see I can BS them with it and see if I can get it fixed for free or cheap. I've had good luck calling Microsoft with issues. What ya Sony guys think? I wana play last of us so bad. Is there a specific angle I should take with talking to them?

They say the 4 will be out in the middle of November. But honestly that thing will be expensive for awhile with extra controllers and accessories. I am going to stick with my 360 til it dies. PS3's are nice anyway.

You can get the gta v bundle. You get a 500gb ps3 and gta v for around $260. At $60 for the game it's a $200 ps3 with 500gb of storage. Not a bad deal at all.

That is a good deal. Regular 360's and PS3s will be a steal before long. And they both have a lot of good games now.

With GTA 5 already out, and Dark Souls 2 coming out next year, I'mma stick with my current Gen for at least till next summer.

when my first ps3 YLOD I sold it on Craigslist for $75 and then bought a used one on craigslist for $140 and that was 2 years go

I need to take my motherboard out and stick it in the oven just to see if it works or not. Would love to at least get the old PS3 I replaced booting up again so I could get full trade value for it from Gamestop.

I've had both and the Ps3 is WAY better on longevity..I've had 4 rrod on the 360 and then gave up and have had only 1 Ps3..and it's an old 40gb model i bought from a pawn shop.

Do any of the youtube vid methods work?

I've seen everything from just unplugging the HDD and then plugging it back in to taking a ****ing hair dryer to the board...
