Poor performance after we went 2-0 up. Bruce continuing to play Karly and Eichel on the same line to counter Mcdavid and Drisitel isn't helping the other lines. Plus our top scorer (Dorofeyev) and leader on defense (Petro) were missing tonight so that certainly didn't help. Game 2 is kind of huge for us now but we've been here before. Expect the fortress to be rocking again and hope the guys deliver a strong response. Lord knows that Oilers defense and goalie leaves a lot to be desired but we've got to punish them.

I'm really curious to know how trademark law works in this case. The Colorado Mammoth indoor lacrosse team has existed 20+ years, and Utah is even stealing their "Tusks up!" slogan. I get that there are plenty of examples of team names that span leagues (Cardinals, Giants, Panthers, Rangers, Kings...), but it still seems odd.

I would suspect they paid the Colorado Mammoth franchise off to get their consent to use the name/trademark it themselves.

I like the choice of name/logo.

Only game 2, but so far it seems like the Leafs might be figuring out playoff hockey and not just aimlessly wandering into the slot to turnover the puck.

Yeah, they were hard to root for before, but some of the shit last series and then Bennett's bullshit with Stolarz tilts it even more.


And I'm usually not "**** the team that just beat the Avalanche," even the Stars in the past were just kind of meh... but, they can get ****ed this go around. Doubting the Jets can score enough or that Hellebuyck can stop enough pucks though, so they're probably ****ed.

Yeah, I like Veach and Sakic for the same reason, neither seem to be afraid to make moves needed for long term success.... if Tyreek had won a SB with the Dolphins, everyone would be saying the Chiefs were colossaly stupid for letting him go, but then the Chiefs go to 3 straight SBs and everything is fine.

History is written by the victor, I suppose. Sucks he wanted $14/yr and couldn't come to an agreement with two different teams and then signed a lesser deal with a divisional rival. Avalanche wouldn't match that, Canes didn't want to match that, the Stars didn't match it.
