I REALLY miss Mark Boerigter, but Horn is the real deal! This is one Horn we need to keep!

He looked pretty good but there seemed to be a few times where he and Green were out of sync. Fortunatly have the bye to work on that.

I was thinking this during the game. He seems to be getting decent at out pacing the defender and getting open...and not dropping the damn ball. Definitely promise.

He was a close second player of the game IMHO.
He made catch after catch after catch (when we needed them).

Damn we needed this win...
I feel like a damn newlywed the morning after.

To paraphrase Dick Vermeil, "Gee I really hope Sammy Parker can become Chris Horn soon because Chris Horn really rocks. It would be awesome to have a reciever of Chris Horn's ability on this football team."

Hopefully this opens his eyes to what we have already, this kid can flat out play.

Horn appears to be a smaller and whiter Johnnie Morton. :p

Both of those guys played big tonight.

Horn looks like a player that Green feels comfortable with, and a QB needs a player that knows his routes and how to find the open spots.

Horn rocks. He should have been in there from day one.

Hopefully in two weeks Eddie will be back. Maybe - MAYBE - we'll have Wilson back. Then I hope they GET HALL THE HELL OFF OFFENSE and let him solely return kicks.

Just think about the week after the bye and you have Kennison healthy, Morton at 100% and Horn taking Dante's spot.

Then you also have Priest and Tony G. to handle. And then Jason Dunn.

This offense is about to get nastier than last year's. And the defense is starting to look better, too.

Woudn't be writing these boys off just yet. Woudn't be doing it.

Speaking of his production, didn't a penalty wipe off at least one huge gain? He would have looked even better without that stuff!!!

I like players that are not great ... they just win!!! I think he ought to start next game even if Eddie is ready.

Even if they don't start him, I think he played very well and would be great to have in a 3rd receiver slot that way we can get Dante Hall off the field to keep him freash for returns. Kennison, Morton and Horn would make a good treo for Green. So far Horn has 5 receptions and Boerigter had 11 all of last year. I think Horn is an upgrade from Boerigter.

People say that our receivers suck just because none of them catch 80 passes. Well the reason nobody caught 80 passes last year was because Green spread the ball like peanut butter. We had 5 people with 40 or more receptions. That means that everybody was a threat (except Boerigter who again only had 11 receptions last year).

I'm really hoping that Horn doesn't turn out to be the next Sean LaChapelle (sp?). :grovel:

He's probably not fast enough to be a true slot WR, but he gets open and catches the damn ball when it comes his way. And that, my friends, is the very definition of a receiver.

Once he and Green get in synch, defenses will have to start giving him some notice, or he'll quietly put up some good numbers.

Most of you guys are probably too young to remember, but Chris Horn reminds me of Fred Biletnikoff. A white boy with average speed but always finds a way to get open and always catches whatevers thrown to him.

His best catch by far was his first, that was unfortunately called back for a holding penalty.

He only had a half step on the defender, the ball floated perfectly over the top, he reached out forward with a perfect "hands" catch, it was a thing of beauty.

Several of us have been on that wagon for two years. He looked good. All he does is get open and catch balls. Not a bad combo.

Horn p[robably would have had over 100 yds receiving were it not for the holding call on his spectatcular diving reception. THAT's what got my attention. There was a guy on the Bears a few years back named Tom Waddel that was well, a FOOTBALL PLAYER. Horn is faster, more twitchy than Proehl or Waddel, and dangit he has soft hands! He gets up in traffic for Trent's passes, too. Morton played superbly but he's had a decade to prove himself in the NFL. Horn got one chance and IMO DELIVERED.

This season is NOT lost, boys and girls, and Gun's D is also showing signs of life.

Go Chiefs!

If he continues to play well..it only opens up things for Morten and Kennison.....plus Dante can go back to doing what he does best full time.......Id like to see Sammie Parker play some more too.....I guess he was in the game last night for a few plays?? I didnt notice it though..

I am not sure how many times Horn was released and resigned last year. Him and another WR (Who for the life of me I cannot remember his name) seemed to 'share' time as a WR for the Chiefs last year. All I am saying is that when he is in the game, he seems to catch every thing thrown at him...Even if it is called back like on Monday night....

He seems thus far to be legit.
