Oct. 15-17 is Total Choice Premiere Freeview weekend. This package has most everything Directv offers. (except sports packages and PPV). It usually sells for $89 per month. Fire up the DVR and VCR's and record several movies. Uh.....Lzen, you may disregard as Dish Notwork gives you nothing.

I'd get a lot more excited about movie channels if they were showing letter-boxed movies. I hate cut up movies.

Until then, I'll rent/buy.

Lately....some of the channels have gotten better about showing films in widescreen....I know that Starz and HBO both a have a channel where they do that....

AMC has kinda gone down the tubes a little bit....since when is Halloween 4 and Dreamscape considered classics??

Yeah, I noticed last night there were a couple. One of them was
Legally Blond 2, a movie that just cries out for the letterbox treatment.

Matrix: Reloaded was full screen.

This was DTV's call. They turned on the entire Total Choice Premier Package not just an HBO here and a Cinemax there like Dish Notwork does.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the movies are always better on the channels you don't get, UNTIL they have a free preview weekend?

Well, then again, there is always skinemax! :p

Directv sucks for us that live in Canada, Dish Network is better and you don't have to get ur card programmed that often...but it does come with a setback...no NFL sunday ticket.
