Did you ever wish you were Mexican?

I'm flipping through the channels the other day, and some guys and gals were on a game show on Univision (Spanish station, for you gringos).

They had a full-size bed with sheets, pillows, etc., set up on a giant version of that mechanical bull machinery. The guy climbed up on the bed and had to hang on to two straps. Then a superb-looking woman climbed up there with him.

While I don't speak Spanish, apparently the rule was that she could not hang on to anything but him, and they won more money the longer they both stayed on the bed. So the guy hung onto the straps, and the woman wrapped her long-sultry legs around the guy, and then the bed started bucking and spinning...hard.

It was absolutely hilarious, yet at the same time I felt a great emptiness that I could never be a contestant on the show.

Now that sounds like a game show I would like to try. Are you sure they won't let middle aged, overweight, and balding white guys play?

I dunno. It looked Mexican, but maybe if it's just some Spanish-speaking show from San Diego, you can get into the studio audience and give it a shot.

This type of show could definitely be successful in the English-speaking community as well, and may further our understanding and respect for other cultures.
