She's old and probably retired (those monster jugs are probably hanging around her knees at this point).

Her name's Morganna, and I met her once at a strip joint in Milwaukee. Saw her crush a beer can between her tits. That was amazing.

Whatever happened to the chick with the big tits running onto the field and giveing George Brett a kiss???
"Morganna the Kissing Bandit," an Ohio woman who spent more than two decades running onto big-league fields and kissing unsuspecting ballplayers, including George Brett during the 1979 All-Star Game in the Kingdome, is retired and turning down all interview requests these days.

That doesn't mean she has gone completely underground.

After reading a P-I profile of herself on Friday, Morganna Roberts Cottrell left a message at the newspaper the next day, offering a few insights to her current existence.

She still keeps strange hours -- the call came in at 4 a.m., Seattle time.

She identified herself by saying, "This is Morganna, formerly the Kissing Bandit, which is sort of like being formerly known as Prince."

After mentioning that the P-I story made her sound more interesting than she really is, Morganna explained her reluctance to deal with reporters these days.

Earlier, she had turned down interview requests from Sports Illustrated and Playboy.

"I'm going to tell you something that I'm not telling anybody else, because nobody has heard from me since Dec. 12, 1999," she said.

"I just got sick of talking about myself and always being the center of attention. I loved it for the period of time I did it, don't get me wrong.

"But I just decided to quit being the Kissing Bandit on January 1st of the year 2000. I didn't pick up any new contracts that would take me past Dec. 12.

"For anybody who called and wanted me just for the weekend or whatever, I had to say, 'Sorry, Morganna has left the building.'"

Doubling as an exotic dancer when she wasn't being an outlandish baseball fan, Morganna offered no regrets over her kissing exploits, which took her to nearly every big-league ballpark, including the Kingdome a second time in 1986.

"I had a great time," she said. "All the fans were wonderful. All the players were wonderful. The road was wonderful. But I had just had enough."

Now 47, she lives with her husband, Bill Cottrell, and three dogs in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio.

She has a big house, complete with a creek and running trail.

"I'm living my dream life," she said.

'Morganna' - better known as "the Kissing Bandit" - was arrested no fewer than nineteen times for attempting to kiss various athletes. How did she begin her crazy career as "the most famous lips in America"? One day at the age of fifteen, she rushed onto the field at Riverfront Stadium and kissed Cincinnati Reds star Pete Rose - to win a $5 bet.

Ironically, Rose was later evicted from Major League Baseball for gambling: "My career started with a bet," Morganna remarked, "and Pete's ended with one."

Yeah, but that took an earthquake... :p

You're right, people always forget about that because in 88 and especially 90 the A's were favorites and choked hard in the WS... then in 96 with the Cards he had the Braves beat down but they won three in a row to win in the LCS. He's had some pretty harsh choke jobs... if they lose here today it probably wouldn't be quite that bad, but after the kind of special "once every 50-60 years" regular season the Cards have had it'd be tough.

Bah, makes it more of a thinking man's game, but I don't think that's more entertaining at all. Rewards the Cardinals for just getting two outs in the inning, it's like having to put an 80 year old blind man on the floor during the last two minutes of a basketball game so the other team can intentionally foul him and put him on the line.

Yeah I'm not saying one's better than the other, I'm probably one of the few who likes having two different leagues with different styles of baseball... I was going to say the one huge disadvantage to AL ball is pitchers don't have to be accountable. However, if I was a fan of a team in a playoff game, and you get in a run scoring situation like that and it gets diffused because of your freaking pitcher, that'd suck.

Miles

WilliamTheIrish

I thought Matheny was just showing it to make the defense think a little.... but then again that doesn't explain why Womack was so far off the bag. Matheny's struggled, so I guess they could've bunted and brought in a pinch hitter to take one crack at a base hit and 2 runs.... I don't think it's absurd but it's putting all of your eggs in one basket/at-bat.

Womack being so far off the bag makes me think the SB was on. He has no other reason to wander off.

Ausmus took a look at Edmonds prior to nailing Womack.

Strange play for certain..
