I'll disagree...you have the 31st overall ranked defense coming into the week...they're consistently bad...which is why you won't win it all. But Manning and the offense will get you close as usual. Gah, you guys held your own in the red zone, although the one Leftwich fumble helped you out. I think (hopefully) the Chiefs will be able to power up and handle those short yardage situations better than Jacksonville... from what I've seen last week and this week, Jax looks like they aren't always the best at just getting that one yard when they need it for a 1st down...

I don't know about that... the way I see it, if we can even just split the Indy/NE home games, and find a way to win both road games @ Tampa and @ NO (both games I know this team is good enough to win)... we'd be 5-5 with two games vs. the Raiders and Chargers, the struggling Titans, and the Broncos at Arrowhead left. Manning got fair market value for his worth, it didn't help that our owner went on record to say he would be the highest paid player in the league before Polian could start to negotiate. IF the CBA is rattified, then we will be fine $ wise, if not, we are pretty screwed. Also, we are about to begin a new stadium soon.

Yes, you do, so do we, but yours is still the same as last year.

We have some rookies who may help out this season!

Clearly YOU haven't watched the Chiefs defense this year, which is pretty hypocritical of you seeing as you told Garcia to not comment on your D because you believed he hadn't seen it.

I can testify that one or two guys cannot win a championship.

I remember Elway restructuring (he offered to, and wasn't asked) so they could get Neil Smith. I haven't seen Manning do anything like that. When you're 37 years old, you kind of want a Super Bowl more though, but I thought Manning was mature beyond his years, according to the national media.

LOL jeebus, you like to talk out of your ass a lot.

1) You have obviously not watched the Colts play this year.

2) Know very little about the Dynamics of my team.

3) Like to pretend to be in the know on things you have no clue of.

I am done with you now, back to my Chief friends.

You can't win championships with crappy defense.

I think my fellow fans and I know that too well. And the Colts should know that too. They are a replica of us, but it looks like our D has improved more than theirs so far.

I hope you guys walk into Arrowhead thinking you're facing the same defense as last season.

We haven't faced an offense like yours this season, no one would argue that. But you haven't faced an offense like ours either. And you'll be facing a team on the road that just dropped 56 points on what was statistically the #1 defense in the whole league. If you're not into statistics, we can get into how KC absolutely manhandled the Baltimore defense, widely considered the best defensive unit in the game; don't need stats to tell me that. What stats DO tell me though is that our offense will be taking on the 31st worst defense in the NFL. And trust me, the players or us fans haven't forgotten about the playoffs. This game is ultimately going to make or break our season. A win and we'll have great momentum going into two winnable games versus the Saints and Bucs. A loss would all but 3liminate us. IMO this is the worst time for you guys to play us.

My bad. 1st against the run, 7th in overall D.

More impressive than that though IMO, is that the Falcs had only allowed 86 points in their first 6 games, yet we dumped 56 on them today.

He's got a HOF list of accomplishments and he's 30. That means he's going to ask for a ton of $$$, this is probably his last FA deal. It also means his best days are behind him.

James is considered more valuable to the Colts, and cheaper. I'm not saying I agree, that's just how they look at it. They have two WR's who are either more productive or damned close this year. That can't be said for their RB's save for ONE season, and that RB has already had a very serious injury.

Check this out...Indy has the 6th or 7th run defense...so you would think they have a good run defense...but they don't...The teams they play abandon the run. The Colts, Eagles, and Minny rank in the top 3 in rushing attempts on their defense....they also rank top 3 in scoring offense(until today). As long as you guys exercise ball control..I don't see how you don't win this game. Well that..and you have to fool probably one of the best QB's all time at reading defenses...no easy task. But you get the idea. Gunther has spent some time looking over Manning's game as a Titan assistant.

Finally someone who has a clue about this, however, Polian and Irsay say they can get it done and have already approached Condon about extending Harrison.

What would be ideal is, we franchise Edge and the Dolphins sign him and give up the draft picks to us. You KNOW they will have a VERY HIGH pick this year, and probably next unless they find a quarterback.

James had a serious injury too, and he's not getting any younger. A 30-year old WR, especially a stud like Harrison can be productive for 5 more years.

I also think their other WRs would not do so well without Harrison drawing coverage.

You don't let great players go because you want to, you do it because you can't afford to pay them. They can't afford to break the bank on Harrison AND resign James. Period.

They can sign James, and for probably half the cash, and STILL afford to make a play for a defensive FA. You sign both, no defensive FA.

Na-Polian has this simple philosophy on building our team.

Spend the $ on offense, and then draft for defense. We will live or die with that, and would rather have the better O than D. Look at the better defensive units in the league, none of them have a very competitibe offense.

Sure, I don't expect 56 points.

But I do expect the Chiefs to maul the Colts undersized line the same way they did to the Falcons.

I expect the passing game to click because frankly you haven't stopped anyone passing all year.

It all depends on if the Chiefs can force the Colts to punt and get some turnovers.

The media, and opposing fans, lose sight of the fact that this defense has made vast improvements. To be almost in the top 10 after 6 games when you were ranked at the bottom after the first two is pretty impressive, IMO.

The Chiefs defense needs to have a chip on their shoulder this week. They need to play the best game of the season to beat Indy.
