OFFENSE: A
Complete and utter domination of the OL let the Offense do pretty much whatever it wanted. Mega-kudos to the Offensive Line. The heavy dose of run gave us the opportunity to see our WRs and the downfield blocks that so often go unheralded. An amazing performance. I have been critical of the Offense, but today I do not have a single complaint or criticism [no, not even the fumbles]. Thanks for shutting me up, guys.

DEFENSE: A
First, let me say that I think Vick is an amazing athlete. Fast, agile and quick. But I think he is way overrated as a QB by the hyperbole-drenched sports media and I am sick of hearing the sycophants drool all over him. Therefore, I took unabashed pleasure at watching the puny Chiefs Defense bash him brutally. That is a CRUSHING that will reside with the humiliation of Jeff George in my crusty old Defense Homer’s heart. Gunther, I love you, man. Thanks for reminding me why I am a Defense Homer in the first place.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C
Kickoffs were excellent. Punts were excellent. Since I am in “glowing after a massive win” mode, I have nothing further to say on this point.

COACHING: B
The staff had the team well-prepared for the game. Vermeil, Saunders and Gunther fielded the powerhouse we thought we had. A dominating performance on both sides of the ball. That was a welcome change for the R&G. GAAMF mode prevents me from discussing Mr. Gansz.

Has been waiting a long time for this team to emerge.

I, too, thought of Jeff George when I say Vick getting worked over....it was clear by the late 2nd quarter that he had had enough, [micheal jackson voice]"this isn't like my commercial!"[/micheal jackson voice].

Roaf and Waters were like kicking ass and flexing (literally) while they did it. Waters flexed his muscles "Hulk" style in front of the Falcons when they were deciding wether or not to go for it on the last play before halftime. Most awesome moment ever.

I'd give the STs' a D....They gave up a return TD, and despite the fact that Tynes kicked them deep, the Falcons nearly had a field day. But, then again- the Falcons were ranked as one of the best ST's in the league.

special teams get an F for allowing the only TD

I agree. Giving up the easy return for a td and not even laying a hand on him. Not giving Dante any lanes. Even in a glowing win this stands out.

Special teams should get a Z- for that performance. We finally get specialists doing their jobs well, and the coverage still sucks. That's worrisome to me.

Giving up a TD on special teams doesn't deserve a C average. The special teams coverage units has sucked all season long. No way do they deserve a passing grade.
