What happened? Did he do a calf-butt against a wall or something?

Did he finish the Atlanta game?

KC Dan

They mentioned "Grammatica" in the same sentence if that helps any. No other info yet. DV thinks we have a better chance against the dolts with the better defense.

We are still talking about Monty Beisel right?

We are still talking about arguably the weakest position for core of guys on this team right?

In all honesty, the only guy we could lose on defense that would have me sweatin is Lional Dalton.

If you add Eric Warfield to the list, I'd agree with ya...

Yea, who would be concerned about getting weaker at our weakest link? It's not like we lost a guy in position we're deep at.

Would be great but it isn't going to happen. Would have to drop somebody off the roster, I don't see DV doing this unless Beisel is out for any length of time. Right now since Fox is finally healthy, even that would be a slim possibility .

Rich will ride the PS all year, head off to NFLE and come back next year for another shot .

I just saw Dick on the NFL channel and he did confirm this, he pulled his calf muscle giving someone a high five cellabrating.

Maybe he can milk it out for two seasons like Maz did.

The only guy you would worry about? Not Warfield? Not Fujita? Not Sims? Not Siavii? Not Allen?

Oh, and as far as Beisel being out I am not devastated. Maybe I am incorrect but I don't think he is that much better than Mitchell.

Not that much better?

Kawika Mitchell 2003 stats. 12 games played 6 started 17 tackles 14 solo 3 assists 0 sacks

Monte Beisel 2004 stats. 6 games played 5 starts 33tackles 28 solo 5 assists .5 sacks

a) Beisel is not a rookie (as Mitchell was last year)
b) different defensive system

Ok in 2004

Kawika has played in 5 games started 2 and has a whopping 4 tackles 3 solo with 1 assist. No matter how you slice it his production sucks. Beisel has been head and shoulders above him.

Now thats not to say that Kawika won't eventually be a stud or even just better than Beisel. But IMHO he is nowhere near as good.

BTW Beisel is average at best.

Um, OK. We both agree that Beisel has been better than Mitchell. We both consider Beisel about average. I think I originally said that I didn't think that Beisel was that much better than Mitchell. I guess you think that Mitchell is that far below average? OK. I think Mitchell is probably about average but I'm not adamant about it.
