He was looking gassed out towards the end....we are gonna get this guy killed later on in the season if we dont get him some more rest. This is why we drafted LJ!! Play him Dick!

I agree with this notion.

Gah!

If we don't keep winning from here out, he'll be resting again in early January.

RB's typically have a limited shelf life. Use him now.

He was beginning to remind me of Winslow in that 1981 San Diego/Miami playoff game.....ironically this game was similiar to that one.

if the D was better he could have rested...but we won, and he can sleep in tomorrow

no big diffrence. he is right at this pace Priest is going to get killed this season they need to cut back on his carries. is this team is going to pound teh ball which almost everyone agrees with. they have to have more then 1 RB. Priest can not carry the ball 30+ times a game

Good lord.

Some folks will go to any length to rationalize why our 3rd string halfback needs to be getting playing time.

The game was too close for Priest to be on the sidelines and a backup in. As much as I want to see LJ in there, I want a W more and with 4 min to go and a 3 pt lead, we needed our best player on the field.

When you score 45, everyone on your offense and their defense is going to be drained at the end of the game. Priest is no more tired with 32 carries than he would have been with 22. Blaylock got hurt during the game so that has something to do with the work load.

If it's all the same to you, I'll take my chances with a tired Preist Holmes over anything else.

As previously stated, RB's have a limited shelf life. Use him early. Use him often.

wrong

he was drafted because CP thought Priest was hurt

I don't ever want to see that RB that looked like he was running in mud on the Field.

Larry Johnson will henceforth be referred to as Muddy whenever I speak of him.

He's a mudder.
His mother was a mudder.

Man, Priest really took some hits today. I was hoping partway through the third quarter that we'd have enough of a lead to give Johnson some carries, but it just didn't work out that way.

I hope Priest and Blaylock are both okay for next week. Any news on Blaylock?

Ah... So he's running with his head.

No wonder he's still 3rd string.

Use your feet, LArry!

Yeah, that's it.

You know that commercial for the soda where the guy is melting into the pavement as he's trying to get to the soda machine.

That's what Muddy looked like today.

Those couple times Priest got flipped... It hurts me just to think about them. Priest got hit big time a few times. But again, he rested the whole 2nd half last game. He'll be fine.

No no no, you do not give Larry the ball when we are up only by 3 pts.

If he would fumble's the football, and we would have lose the game cause of it, the NUTHOOKS would have came out!

you do not sit your best players when the game is on the line..this is why he only played a half last week in the blowout...your best players are always in...

and i think priest can handle the 30+ carries a game...

Priest is on pace for 31 TDs.

Priest gets paid very well to play hard. He can have a nice long rest come Feb. He's gets more time off than I do. :cuss:

Wrong, we give priest the rest when it is necessary, we need him on the field, he will continue to play hard. If he really needs a rest he will tell dick. This was a HUGE game for the season, as long as games are close priest should stay in. He is our horse.
