Maybe I'm behind the times and everyone else already knows about it, but this is cool: All-Time Chiefs Roster by Number and/or Name (http://www.kcchiefs.com/alltime/)

And if everyone already knew about this, why didn't you tell me? Do you hate me?

Interesting. I can't believe #58 has not been retired though. (at least its not showing up as retired on this list).

And they should burn #11 and #13. My gawd ... what a collection of turds to wear those numbers. Podolack is the only thing saving #14, otherwise that'd be a good nomination as well.

Why the heck is 33 retired ... ? Did I miss something?

They retired #33 because Stone Johnson died as a result of a game injury.

Let's play a game. Who can put together the best 53-man roster using only 12 jersey numbers?

In other words, pick 12 different jersey numbers and produce a 53-man roster using only people who wore those numbers.

On your mark, get set, go.

It hasn't been updated for 2004, the last defensive coordinator on the list is freaking GROB.

Yep. Rookie year.

Also #58 and #37 have been "unofficially retired" but never officially.

Why the F#CK isn't #11 retired? It's been 4 years now!

What's the hold up?

How is is possible that Jerome Woods and Priest Holmes both wore #31 from 2001 - 2003?

And since when was Woods a CB?

Who's #63 did we retire?

Bill Maas' (84-92) or Willie Lanier's (67-77)?

What did Bobby Bell do during 1976/77 that caused someone to assign his number to Willie Lee, and how did he change "their" minds and retire his number?

Same with Buch Buchanon.

Didn't we know enough about these guys careers on the day they retired to not give their # out the following year? Or in Buck's case, almost ever year in the 12 years after he retired.

Just an interesting document. And trying to kill some time before I head home for a long weekend in Mexico. ;)

My guess would be that they don't retire a guy's number until he gets into the Hall of Fame. Between retirement and enshrinement, any guy with a helmet can pick that jersey number.

As I remember Bobby Bell went in quickly, so only one guy snagged his number. Buck went in much later, so several guys cycled through his.
