For a second, I thought you were asking about the football team. My answer was a knee-jerk "Like shit".

Mu is supposed to be running a new Offense. One that doesn't involve paulding just running down the court and jacking threes is a good start

The one we ran last year didn't involve Paulding - at least not when we needed some baskets from him to pull out a W - even though he was on the court with the ball.:banghead:

Just got back from the game. The PSA is just awesome. HOK et al. did a fantastic job for 75 million. The fieldhouse style roof, the no bad seat in the house views, and the fact that you can still see the floor from the concourse concession stand lines makes this a great venue. Oh, and the team; at least we're more athletic this year...

I was there too! We were the people making fun of zou crew. I was on the big screen twice. I was the ridiculously handsome guy. I like PSA a lot. But I had never been to a basketbal game at Hearnes, only volleyball. My friends were saying they liked Hearnes better, but the new place is nice.

The only thing I like about this season for MU is there are absolutely no expectations for this team, unlike the last couple of years when we have been over-rated in the preseason.

David.
11-04-2004, 10:35 PM
yah, no one expects 20 wins here. I think Klieza(sp?) is gonna be a monster. Other than that, we have a lot of young athletic guys. Grimes looks friggin HUGE!

Yeah, I see MU is now playing in the appropriate league. They just might make a Final Four in that league.

Well, at least we're playing CMSU in the exhibition season as a warm up game instead of playing them in the regular season like some other Big 12 school is.

What was the violation for that KU had in the 88-89 season after they won the tourney with Larry Brown? I remember them being ineligible the next year, but I can't remember what it was for.

IIRC paid for a plane ride for a player, and his wife bought some medicine for one of the players babies.

Thats enough for me. I'm pretty sure Jeff George didnt. He played HS ball with Whitlock. I wanna say he went to Illinios?

Ahem..Rutgers, UTSA... :p

Besides, the only reason you guys play anyone good is for the opposing teams benefit.

BTW..who/what the hell is Anderson university?

Bah you pulled a late edit on me. Anderson is a DII school about 15-20 minutes away... they get put on the schedule because they don't drag your RPI down like a poor D-I team would....

Uh...Butler? Indiana? Indiana State? Anderson is a DII school about 15-20 minutes away... they get put on the schedule because they don't drag your RPI down like a poor D-I team would....
Butler, i'll spot ya. Indiana State sucks. Indiana has you for a home game..i'm assuming they scheduled you.

Butler's always a real good game, a nice little rivalry... The athletic office has a lot of connections, that's how we got into the Maui tourney a couple years ago when we beat KU and UCLA. I'm not sure who scheduled who for IU, we have a 3 year deal with them where we play at IU, once at BSU, and one game in Conseco Fieldhouse. That Kentucky game is in Cincinnati, so we got that in a neutral site too, well not really because that's still KU country south of the river, but it's not Rupp...
